Digital Beauty That's Anything But By The Numbers
This book is a unique and insightful foray into the digital realm of fashion and textiles. The text is rich and informative of past, present, and future eras, providing rare computing insights that many would never know. The illustrations are incredible, ranging from images that could only have been produced by the lost technology of a bygone digital time to others simultaneously of-the-moment and timeless. The cover photo of 3D-printed fashion creation by Iris van Herpen is what drew me in; like much of what is explored in the book, you would never know it was of digital origin. Fascinating to both those who have no knowledge of the field and those who do, and particularly inspiring to students of fashion and code alike. Above all, this is simply a beautiful artifact. Highly recommended!

There are great explanations about each artist/designer's work
This book is thoughtful, thorough, and engaging. There are great explanations about each artist/designer's work, as well as surprising details that link them to the digital theme. A very interesting look at fashion design and functionality.

Fantastic publication on the influence of computing on fashion
Digital Visions for Fashion and Textiles, Made in Code is a very comprehensive publication on the influence of computing on fashion and textiles (and the influence of fashion and material fabrication on the development of the computer). It covers works produced and designed with digital tools, but also works that comment on the aesthetics and meaning of digital design and process. It is beautifully illustrated, some images recently produced, others I imagine, required digital archeology. I have already used the book as a source for brief writing and lecture.
