One of the most helpful books out there on pulling together your OWN style
A common problem in style books is the generic advice geared to an office worker in a large city. If you work shifts wearing a uniform, or are a stay at home mother, or simply work in a field where the generic suit won't do, then most books won't help you much. This one will. This author really DOES know clothes and normal women.Lee has great advice on analyzing what you have, versus what you need. She covers figure flaws, closet organization, intelligent clothes shopping that won't leave you broke, exhausted and ultimately disappointed.Don't assume low price means an article sized booklet. This is a full sized book. She writes well, it's easy to read, and comprehensive. Lots to think about. This book would be worth buying if it was 10 times it's price. I really highly recommend it. I've had it a while, got it when I got my kindle and it's one I'm very glad of having. I should have reviewed it a long time back but now I can confidently say, this one is one you will dip into time and again and come out with new insight on making your wardrobe work for you. Saves money, time and effort. Well worth reading.

Good inspiration
Lee comes across as very passionate and devoted to her work as a stylist, and this was a fun, informative read. I gleaned quite a few great ideas from her with regard to cleaning out my closet, assembling outfits, and shopping. Some information was commonly known or common sense, but all tips were good reminders and needed to be restated in order for her to get her other points across.I give this four stars only because I feel that some pictures of some of the things she discusses would have been helpful. Perhaps the hard copy of the book contains pictures? The kindle edition does not. She is quite descriptive, but the minds eye can only take one so far. And someone who would be looking for a book like this in the first place probably does not have natural skills for visualizing outfits. Visual aids would have definitely helped.

Not what I was expecting, and not terribly useful
First off, there are almost no pictures, which I find EXTREMELY odd in a book about style - how does one demonstrate style without having pictures to refer to? It is possible to convey the seed of an idea in text, but the author really should have either illustrations or photographs to go along with the text in order to make the advice effective. The advice itself seems sound, but this book appears to be more useful to someone who really has no clue about style at all and is looking for a place to start understanding it. Those with a more sophisticated understanding will find this dull and essentially useless.

Fabulous and helpful!
I love this book. I refer back to it and have actually taken notes and put ideas into practice. Written in a fun, practical manner with tips we can all use, no matter our age or where we are in life. I'm about to head off on a major shopping trip and have been through the chapter on shopping several times and feel prepared to make better choices. It may not be for everyone, based on some reviews, but it was "all that" for me and I will use it as a reference book. This one is a keeper! It's on my Kindle so I can take it with me when I'm out! Love it!

Pretty good.
I would say this is one of the better wardrobe books. It is geared towards the working woman. I have read so many useless wardrobe advice books. This one is the most practical.

Practical Guide
Very helpful in editing your closet and your style. Because I learn visually, it would have helped to have photographs. Good tips for packing to travel and for work professionalism. This is a valuable primer on developing and pursuing your own unique style.

Very Helpful
This is one of my favorite books on style because it is simple and concise. So many books on style go on and on making the same points over and over. This gives a point, an example and moves on to the next. I especially found the closet edit really helpful in paring down to what I actually wear. If you want a quick but accurate primer on style then this is a good one.

Great tips!
Lee takes the mystery out of how to dress for any occasion! She made it seem fun and creative, instead of a daily chore. Canโt wait to hit the closet tomorrow.

Great Book!
This book is very good, I learned so many tips, and I love her approach. For instance, you should leave the house not thinking about your clothes, but feeling good about yourself-or something like that. Clothes stress me out, but this book has a nice happy take to it, and I'm learning so much!! And it's not overly detailed and wordy, gets to the point before I get bored!!
