Requires some adjustment and trimming but works
I've had my PICC line for a few weeks. This is the third one I've had in but the first I have had at home.I've used the AquaGuard dressings mostly in the past and left the hospital with about ten that I had the CNA's pilfer for me. They work decent but their tight and you have to be careful of them if you have hairy arms like me so obviously when I started running out I started looking for other options than trash bags taped to my arm.All in all it works well. I had to trim the front end a bit shorter due to the placement of my line site, it's a bit further up my bicep so I have to slide the front end up my forearm and the front opening is a bit small straight from the manufacturer to accommodate my forearm size. Now that I've trimmed it, it fits much better. On the vacuum pump and functioning, you have to really work it to get a good seal but once it is it remains in place and pulls a small bit of water at the entrance due to my above mentioned amount of hair but if you're lacking or you shave your arms it'd be fine. I don't know if I'd swim with it but showering is fine or bathing where you can monitor it would be fine too. It allows for adequate freedom of movement and seems pretty durable. I'll update if there's any changes. In the cost of the cover VS buying AquaGuards or tape and trash bags or cast covers it pays off after a couple weeks. Waterproof tape is pricey and bags are not reliable and cast covers are expensive too but only last through four or five times of being taped and removed. I'm happy with it.

Used this PICC cover for 13 years
I have had a PICC line for over 13 years now in different arms to infuse TPN and I have tried just about every product out there to cover my line to go to the beach, shower, swim in the pool and Yes Even SCUBA Dive below 90’ from the surface. I have seen Xerosox change the material of the cover also twice and they’ve gotten better and better!!Now I’ve had to replace them about every 4 - 6 months but I am a man about 5’ 10” and decent sized arms and I would say that this is Undoubtedly The Best Product On The Market!!!!! Yes some men with hairy arms may need to shave or trim their arm hair to go swimming or Diving however if you’re not into “Manscaping” some good old J&J non talc baby powder will help you slide it right up your arm. (Apply the baby powder to your arm directly instead of in the cover and always dry the cover and arm off immediately after your get out of the water to stop your dressing from getting wet and 2nd dry the cover off outside and turn it inside out towel dry as well and let the inside dry completely before reuse to save your dressing and the cover from forming any mildew if your bathroom not that I’ve ever had that happen but a friend had a cast version and didn’t care for the cover like I said and had mildew form. Hope you enjoy your new found freedom with your new PICC cover!!

Too tight to use on wound and IV
My son had gotten one of these for his boy's broken leg so I ordered one for foot surgery and the PICC for IV. Once I got home from hospital and was able to get to the product, I tried to pull it over the PICC and it was just too tight for me to do. Same with foot. I could not pull it hard enough to go over wound. Tried to return it to Amazon; they returned to me and said I needed to return to seller. Tried there to return and I was past the 30 days for returning. So now I am owner of the PICC protector and foot protector for $63 and cannot use it. Oh well.

Need an additional person to help, don't purchase if you have hair on your arm, still got wet.
This was a waste of money.1. You need an additional person to help put it on. Even after cutting it.2. This thing ripped the hair off of your arm and is VERY painful getting on and off. If you have hair on your arms, don't even think about it.3. My picc line and dressing still got wet. Then I tried what they told me. A dry wash cloth over the picc line and dressing, and wrap it in saran wrap. After a 15 minute shower, I took it off. The wash cloth was totally dry.Save your money.

worked for me
It was a little difficult to put on by myself but I did it fine. I connected the bulb before I put it on. I don't have much hair on my arm either. It kept my PICC line dry. It is worth the money because I can now take a bath with my PICC line.
