We have 2 Frenchies (sisters) with very different personalities. So, we bought this one for the Princess of the bunch. I measured by pup’s lower neck and chest before I purchased a small pink Boomiboo harness. My pup hated it! It was too loose and she could reach the back buckle. It felt heavy. I’m returning the ill fitting Boomiboo. In the photos the Boomiboo harness is light pink with a light blue trim.) The selection of halters available on Amazon is overwhelming. In addition to the right size, finding a light weight, breathable fabric, adjustability, and a small buckle were important features. The Matilor harness is PERFECT in every way. The size S fits well with extra space for a growing pup. When I held the fabric up, you can see my green yard through the fabric indicating that it is breathable. The Boomiboo halter is not as breathable. The Matilor buckle is smaller than the bulky Boomiboo buckle. The Matilor pink rope leash has a slight give and has a comfortable foam handle. Whereas the Boomiboo blue leash is a standard leash. There is no comparison. Hands down Matilor’s halter is superior. Compare the two leashes in the photos. Also note the differences in the size small. Not to be forgotten is the low price for this superior halter and leash.

I was not expecting this quality for the price.I paid. It has beyond exceeded my expectations... It is great quality. I love how it is adjustable with Velcro, and then it has a snap on top of that., and it secures perfectly. Harness fits my dog so good and I was not expecting that, because I have never bought a harness over the internet and had it fit so good. Normally, it's too big or too small.But because of this adjustable velcro, it fits her perfectly every time. It 's so easy to put on and to take off. It feels like very nice quality.I feel like it's going to last. I was super impressed with the quality of the leash, and I love the cushiony handle. Like, I can't even tell you how surprised I am. I told my boyfriend I had to jump on here and put in a positive review immediately. Because it really is that great. And I am so glad I got it. When I did for the price, I did... All of the harnesses and leashes that I have bought in the past, for much higher prices. Didn't come anywhere near this quality. GET IT

This harness is soft and pretty.... fits fairly well, a bit too large but able to tighten enough so that it does not slip around., Had to reorder twice due to the size chart... XXL equals a 30# dog... these are made specifically for puppies. I tried size medium for my 24# dog and it was TOO small.. then tried large... too small... I now have XL for a small 24#$ dog, so keep in mind these are made in China for puppies and sometimes in a far away land, the creators are not as familiar with US sizing. All in all, it is great for my needs and my dog is fine with the size! Comes with a very nice leash which makes it worth the price! Recommend.

I rarely write reviews, but the Matilor Dog Harness and Matching Leash Set deserves every one of these five stars! From the moment I took it out of the package, the super high quality was evident. The material is durable yet comfortable for my little guy, and the stitching is flawless. What truly sets this set apart is the locking mechanism on the harness clasp. This feature gives me incredible peace of mind, especially when walking my spirited 15-pound chihuahua, Sniper, around busy streets. I know he’s secure and there’s zero chance of an accidental unclip. The design is excellent, too—it's stylish and functional, distributing pressure evenly across his chest rather than his throat. The matching leash is the perfect length and has a comfortable handle. If you’re on the fence, jump over it! This is a fantastic investment in your dog’s safety and comfort. I would recommend this very highly! Sniper's Great Harness Escape (Attempt) My little 15-pound chihuahua, Sniper, has always had a complicated relationship with authority, specifically in the form of things that go around him. For years, we dealt with the "Houdini Harness Hurl," where he'd somehow manage to shimmy out of his old harness the moment he spotted a particularly interesting leaf. When the new Matilor harness arrived, I was confident its superior locking mechanism would finally end his escape-artist career. I put it on him, adjusted the straps, and locked the clasp with a satisfying click. Sniper immediately froze, his tiny legs splayed like a startled fawn, his expression a pure, unadulterated declaration of war. He spent the next two days walking with the stiff-legged gait of a robot that's just realized it's wearing pants, occasionally backing up and rubbing his shoulders vigorously against the couch corners as if trying to sand the harness off. On our third walk, the moment we hit the grass, he executed his signature move: a lightning-fast, full-body contortion, twisting and wriggling like a tiny, furry croissant trying to unroll. He pulled, he squirmed, he even let out a dramatic, wheezing sneeze of exertion. He paused, looked down, and the terrible truth dawned on him: the harness was still on. His reaction wasn't what I expected. Instead of panic, a profound, world-weary sigh escaped his chest. He looked up at me with eyes that said, 'Fine, Father. You've won this round. But know this: I am already thinking of new ways to embarrass you in public.' He proceeded to strut the rest of the walk like a tiny, defeated champion, carrying the weight of his un-escaped harness and the shattered remains of his dignity. Now, he just accepts it, though he still gives the harness a suspicious side-eye every morning, as if waiting for it to apologize.

DESIGN- - I have a bitty little puppy who is 3 lbs and the XS was almost too big for him, but there is a lot of velcro real-estate to account for variance in size so I was able to make it work. Also, it will be perfect size for him even as an adult which is great - I love the color and pattern, very pretty IRL. - The design of the harness gives me a lot of control without putting any pressure on his neck, which was super important for me with such a small dog. I have had to pull him back quite hard on occasion from eating something that would harm him, or getting stepped on, and am able to do that without causing any pain or injury to him, which is exactly what I needed. I love the top clip in addition to the velcro, makes it really sturdy. - He loves to chew and has tried chewing on the harness quite often when it's off him, or when taking it on or off, but it hasn't come apart at all, so the quality seems really solid. COMFORT - - He's a pom/pap and I was super worried about the velcro sticking to his fur but it never pulls or catches on his coat, even when I have to put it on quickly since he is squirmy. - It's been in the 90s every day since I got this and it doesn't seem to make him any more hot, it's very breathable and lightweight but still sturdy. - He also will sleep with this on during the day and it doesn't affect his sleep so it seems like it's comfortable on him. Once it's on he doesn't seem to notice it much. Very happy with the purchase overall esp for the price, a great little harness. --I unfortunately lost the leash after the first day, so can't speak too much on that, but it seemed really solid and had no issues with it. I can use the harness with any leash though, which is nice.

Secure, quality, & effective multi closure. (Velcro harness, plastic buckle, & double metal rungs for leash attachment) quality mesh material on harness is breathable and easy to clean. Leash rope is strong and durable. Reflective stipe is a bonus!

It's looks great, but for some reason our puppy don't like it, to the point that manages to escape all the time. It's a Boston terrier by the way, maybe because he has flat face 😑

This harness is a very easy well fitting harness. I have had 3 different sizes as my dog has grown. I passed on the 2 that no longer fit to my friends with dogs and they are equally pleased. I highly recommend this product.
