Amazing Little Beasts in my Ears
Overall, SoundPEATS is good quality stuff. I have ran into an issue with one set of Bluetooth headphones, but the warranty was quickly honored. I say that because how a company responds to issues is a huge factor on how they value customers and the feedback they offer. Now, as far as the SoundPEATS Truengine 3 SE earbuds, I will say that it is about time that earbuds came with foam tips (just like safety ear plugs)!! I have had two sets of the earbuds and both came with various sized tips, but they were rubber. The small and medium rubber tips are horrible for holding the earbuds in my ear and the large ones hurt after a short time. I only used those for a few weeks before handing them off to some poor soul that was desperate for a set. I prefer good fitting and sounding earbuds. The fact that the SoundPEATS Truengine 3 SE earbuds came with foam tips is a FREAKING HUGE PLUS!!! Now for the product review: Sound Quality – 5 Stars: I am pleased with the overall sound quality. Good low-end bass response, clear higher frequency, and voices are easy to distinguish. As mentioned earlier, foam tips are included and this undoubtedly adds to the excellent sound quality. I have numerous sets (over a dozen) of SoundPEATS and other name brand Bluetooth headphones and these are in my top three. Top three because undoubtedly, the battery life will be the biggest hurdle (explained later). This is no fault of the Truengine 3 SE earbuds because all two-piece Bluetooth earbuds suffer from short battery life when compared to Bluetooth headphones that are a single piece design. This is pure physics…smaller device equals smaller battery equals less play time between charges. With that being said, these will be my go to for yard work because they will allow me to use hearing protection over them. Button Interaction – 4.5 Stars: The buttons are sensitive and responsive, but I have found it hard to just push the button (on either side) and get the response I want. This is most likely due to my inexperience with them, but I found that if I “pinch” the earbud while trying to operate, this helps greatly. I do not think this requires a full star lower because I hope to get the knack for operating them after repeated uses. I will say, that I did like how the manual laid out the button operation (see Product Diagram and Button Control images). It did make it clear to understand. As mentioned earlier, I have had several sets of Bluetooth headphones and earbuds so the buttons operated similarly. I just found it nice to have easy to reference information. You can manually turn them off without putting them in the case, but have to hold the button for approximately 10 seconds. 10 seconds???? Really???? My God that’s forever in a, “I want it now” world. The deducted half star was due to when attempting to manually power them off, the earbuds will go through the hierarchy shown in the Product Diagram image. What I mean is that: • If you hold the right button to manually power it off, the next track will start after holding it for 1.5 seconds, then it will disconnect from my phone after holding it for about 3 – 4 seconds, and then after 10 seconds it will power off. • If you hold the left button to manually power it off, the track will start over after holding it for 1.5 seconds, then it will disconnect from my phone after holding it for about 3 – 4 seconds, and then after 10 seconds it will power off. Granted, both units will reconnect easily, but my God that’s quite the process. Seems like the button program logic could allow the bypass of all other options until the button is released. But since I have the programming ability of a backscratcher, I deal with it. Bluetooth Range – 5 Stars: I was able to go further than any other set of Bluetooth headphones/earbuds from my phone. Historically, I was able to go approximately 25 – 30 feet away and through 2 walls before the signal would break up. I was able to go over 30 feet and put 5 walls between me and my phone before the signal started to get iffy. In my book, that’s super-duper awesome!! Bluetooth Connectivity – 4.5 Stars: The right one is the master and the left is the slave. Upon removal form the case, the right one connected immediately. AWESOME! The left connect to the right immediately. Again, AWESOME! However, as mentioned in the Bluetooth Interactions section, the manually powering down process is excessive and jacks with how the earbuds connect. They connect easily, but if you manually power them down it will take a little longer to listen to where you left off because the earbuds will have to spend additional time to find the phone and reconnect. In addition to that, you will have to work on getting to the part of the song you were listening to if it wasn’t over because it will skip to the next track (using the right earbud button) or start the track over (using the left earbud button) while powering them down. All in all, the connectivity is great, but half a star is deducted for the disconnecting from my phone in the process of powering down. Battery Life – 4.5 Stars: SoundPEATS states that the case is 500 mAh and each earbud is 55 mAh (i.e. 110 mAh for both). With that, and in an ideal world, a fully charged case it will charge both earbuds approximately 4.5 times. If, based on the SoundPEATS specs (see Specifications image) the case will provide 30 hours of playtime which equates to approximately 6.5 hours of playtime when using both earbuds. If only one earbud is needed, then the playtime can be doubled. I have seen close to this and am satisfied with the battery life of the earbuds. I have to deduct half a star because even though 6.5 hours is good, it still doesn’t make it through a work day before needing to be recharged. I understand there is a balance between battery life, battery size, and earbud size, but it would nice if they lasted a full 8 hour workday. Overall – 5 Stars: These are amazing earbuds and the SoundPEATS name means good stuff. There are not perfect and there are a few minor issues that are not my flavor ice cream, but overall these earbuds are liked and will get heavy usage during the summer months (i.e. yard work). I will have to finish my inside workday with an additional set of headphones, but I am glad to own a set of these earbuds. Lastly, these were a little pricey, but have found them far superior to the other earbuds I have owned. You definitely get what you pay for and SoundPEATS lived up to their name again.

Almost perfect!
Here is my take on SOUNDPEATS TRUEENGINE 3SE TWS earphones after using for about a week. There are lot of good things to talk about: Pros: 1. Sound Quality: Sound quality is best! With its dual dynamic drivers, I am getting best sound quality for bass, mid and high frequencies. In fact, I am getting at par sound that I enjoy from my BOSE SOUNDLINK headphones. The bass is so clear and loud, could not believe I was wearing these tiny earbuds. 2. Connectivity: as advertised. Stable and quick. I did not face any issue connecting to my phone or connecting after taking out from the case. My experience in 30 ft. range was superb and without any drop in the signal. 3. Call quality and mic: Very good. Tow-way communication was very clear. I am still using standard silicon plugs and getting very nice noise cancellation (passive) by reducing noise around. I have not yet tried COMPLY memory foam plus yet, so cannot say about that right now. 4. Battery life: battery life seems good so far for the case as well as for the earphones. (Will update again after using it for longer period.) The case 4 LED indicators showing the amount of power left. 5. Build quality: It does not feel cheap at all while handling the earphones and the case. Based on my own experience, their customer service is great so should not be any problem in case you find the item defective. I have to it at least for six months to one year to confirm the durability and will update on this later. 6. Comfort level: On day 1, I thought they are big but after using it for 3-4 days, I was very comfortable with the fit. So not an issue for me. Cons: 1. Not sure if this is only in my case…. When I listen to songs stored on my phone (.mp3) with music player app, the sound seems perfect and no issues with volume level. But when I connect to YouTube app, the video clip sound is so loud that I have to my phone volume just one mark above zero. Increasing a bit more means very very loud sound from these earplugs which is extremely dangerous. (I never experienced two different volume outputs from any of my other Bluetooth headphones) 2. No wireless charging for the earplugs case. This is not an issue for me but might be for others. Other than that, no other issues for me.

Best TWS Earbuds I've Found
Wow! That’s what I keep saying after using these TWS. Especially at the price! Thee ear buds have so many features that I love. The sound quality is most important to me in TWS ear buds. I like High highs, and deep bass. This is the first set of buds where I don’t need an EQ to manage the sound profile. The bass is good, its heightened, but it’s not muddy. These have a punchier bass, but it’s clear as well. I reviewed the SoundPeats TrueShift2 and its bass was muddier. The treble has a little more boost over the midrange. I listen to a eclectic range of music, Pop/EMD/Rap/Rock/RnB... and for all genre’s I was really happy with the sound profile. I love the subwoofer in your ear sound. These are now my #1 TWS buds, and I have bought many! The soundstage and imaging is wide. The volume can get very loud. I wouldn’t even play them as loud as they go because I think I’d loose me hearing. And even though they don’t have Active Noise Canceling, I’ve found that due to their impressive fit, they block a lot of ambient noise, even when playing them at 25% volume. The buds have really nice touch control. The touch controls have all the functions, such as play/pause, volume +/-, etc. The pads (controls) are really responsive, especially for touch controls! I believe the best part of them is their sound. They come with 3 different size silicone ear tips, and also a pair of Comply tips! If you buy a set of 3 Comply tips your going to pay $20 just for those! Something to note these only have ear tips, they don’t have earwings, or anything else to secure the ear bud. I wouldn’t recommend these for athletes, or anyone working out. Normal use they won’t fall out. Using the Comply tip, you get possibly a little more secure fit, but it changes the sound profile. Using the Comply tip for me seemed to lessen the bass and raise the treble. I found both the silicone tip and Comply tip to be very comfortable and didn’t have any ear fatigue after 6 hours of use, but it’s something worth mentioning. They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of use regardless of which type tip you use. The specs on these are amazing! Bluetooth 5.0, AptX sound codec, and Qualcomm 3020 chip all add up to amazing sound and benefits. I was able to walk around roughly 3,000 sq/ft cinderblock house, and into my garage with over 5 walls in between me and my iPhone XS Max and I had no drops, or interruptions. Also, I could still control the volume; skip tracks with touch controls, all without issue. This is my 1st set of the first TWS ear buds I’ve been able to do that with. I have multiple Soundcore TWS ear buds and I can’t even make it through 2 walls without loosing sound, using the same phone. Ths case is pretty small yet you get some great features. The case is charged via USB-C port, and takes about hour and half to fully charge. Another great feature is how quickly the ear buds pair. Whether it’s your first time pairing or just re-connecting. You take the buds out of the charging case and they immediately connect to the phone or Bluetooth device. The ear buds automatically shut off as soon as they are placed inside the case. Red LEDs illuminate on the buds as they are charging. I have 2 complaints about the charging case. The first complaint is charging case lid doesn’t stay open well. It falls down as I’m trying to remove the buds from the case. It’s plastic, and it’s seems flimsy. There’s a magnet to keep it closed. I think if anything were to break it would be the case lid. It does have a magnet to keep it closed, but keeping it open can be a challenge. The second complaint is how to determine the charge that the case holds. In order to know how much charge is left in the case you must remove both buds and have the case lid open. There are 5 white lights in the middle of the case, which indicate the amount of charge left in the battery case. The buds are constructed really nicely. You can see the dual drivers. The ear tips are very easy to interchange. The ear chamber has a physical gold mesh guard, so that no ear junk, or other things enter the buds. You be surprised at how many buds have a filter built into the various size tips, or nothing at all. This is the best method. There are a few other features, but they are all mentioned in the specs. These really are not only a great bargain for what you are getting, I think these are better than most TWS ear buds that are even triple their price. If I could change one thing it would be the flimsy case lid. But that is being very picky. I bet that anyone will enjoy the sound that comes from these, and all the little extras, and details make it a no brainer to purchase. Everything that matters to me in a TWS ear bud is found in these. SoundPeats does it again! 10 Thumbs Up! **Full Disclosure** SoundPeats provided me a free sample to review. This doesn't influence or dictate my evaluation of the product.

Very impressive overall product at this price point.
Very impressive overall product at this price point. I have really liked these earbuds. All in all, I'd recommend getting. Below is my summary. Happy shopping. - Pros: - Independent Left & Right Speakers and Mics!!! - Decent price. - Good sound quality through all the ranges (low-mid-high) when listening to music, watching videos, talking on the phone, etc. Don't be expecting Bose or Beats because those products are completely different. - Loud. These puppies are loud! I had to turn down my phone volume at the normal volume level I use because these were soo loud...that's saying something. You don't have to crank them to get a good bass. My ear drums have thanked me. - Battery life is very spot on with the brochure they give you. I have been using both earbuds for almost a week now throughout the day and I haven't charged them up yet. - Style: wasn't sure what I'd think about the stemless "triangle" shape, but I actually like them. The gold accent button certainly is what makes the difference. - Buttons Responsiveness: The buttons do a good job with the taps and holds. You don't feel like you are crushing your ear. - Fit: They fit extremely well and include extra "ear cones" if the size from the factory doesn't work for you. I do a lot of running and jumping rope when working out and these haven't fallen out yet. - Cons: - Pairing: I had an issue with these pairing with my phone. I eventually got them to pair, but I don't know if there is a glitch in the software. I would have times when I'd go to play music or someone would call and I couldn't get the Left or Right Earbud to work right. I performed the "Factory Reset" and it did help. I'd say this was an issue 10% of the time. I have also had this issue with other earbuds, I wouldn't say these are necessarily the culprit. Still not a big enough deal to say "Stay away". - Pairing Time: I don't know if this issue is related to the Pairing issue from above, but on average it took (15) seconds for the earbuds and phone to pair. - Case size: Overall not bad, especially when it can hold a super long charge. Since I'm a gentlemen who places the earbud case in my front pocket, it's just a bit too bulky for me. Still not a show stopper. - Microphone Quality: This is a mix of Pro and Con. When I was testing the earbud's mic in quiet settings, simulated noisy settings, etc. I thought the sound quality was slightly better than other earbuds at this price point. However I had times where friends would tell me that it sounded like I was talking to them in a Pringles can. Then I would hang up, call them back, and they said the call quality was decent; they actually thought I got different earbuds. I'm guessing this is probably linked to the Pairing issue I had with my phone. - Suggested Changes: - This is a tough one because overall I really like these earbuds. My only suggestion would be for the case to be smaller, but I also wouldn't want to miss out on the extra battery capacity; I hate having to charge cases every other day.

Potential to be great but...
I bought this with the intent to replace my "fake-wireless" bluetooth earphones since one side died from the wire issue. I am not a audiophile, and I didn't want to spend a lot on a new pair of earphones. I ultimately chose this because of the cost effectiveness, it also had a amazon coupon for a extra discount, and it had a longer battery life than the avg bluetooth earphones in its price range as well as the fact that it has dual drivers and marketed as good with bass. I did say I'm not an audiophile, but if I'm going to spend this amount of money, I might as well choose the best one in the budget. SOUND QUALITY Love it, IF mine was not defective. Unfortunately, the pair I received had a high pitch sound in the right earphone which doesn't really go away even when I disabled Dolby Atmos on my Galaxy Note 10. Left earphone is perfect with no issues though. It's also louder than my new bluetooth earphones which I bought (different brand) after I gave up on the Soundpeats since I didn't want to take a chance at getting a pair that had the same high pitch issue again. For those who are curious, I decided to get the Aukey EPT31. Also, using the included complementary foam earbuds helps noise isolation by a lot when compared to the default equipped plastic or whatever earbud materials that most earbuds come with. Volume, bass, quality, all there. FIT / FITMENT I read the reviews prior to my purchase. I've watched videos on youtube. These earbuds fall off easily lol. I do NOT recommend you use them for workout. HOWEVER! The issue of fitment mostly goes away once you install their included foam earbuds. I've tried all 3 plastic earbud sizes before moving on to the foam earbuds to make sure it was not a size issue. I even tried using my old earphones' earbuds which fit perfectly for me and even that didn't work. Use the foam earbuds and you won't regret it. Having dual drivers and a bulky design makes it heavy. The foams will help a lot in terms of not only noise isolation but keeping the earbuds in your ear too. PRICE As a non-audiophile and budget conscious person who rarely spends money on Amazon, if you don't end up with the defective high pitch noise ones, this is definitely worth every dollar for what it has to offer. BATTERY No complaints here. (Strictly talking about hours w/o the case). User Experience / UX This one is subjective. The touch controls allow you to change volume via a single tap. It kind of is a nuisance for me (again, I did say this is going to be subjective). However, it is a convenient feature to have if you are the type that prefers to have that option. BUILD QUALITY 5/5, feels great. Quality feel is there. Feels sturdy and doesn't have the typical plastic case feel. They are heavier than your typical bluetooth earbuds due to dual drivers. What if my pair didn't have the defect? I would've given this a 4/5, maybe even a 5/5. 5 would require me to use it for a few months to determine if it deserves the 5th star. Of course, that would only be comparing it relative to others within its price range. After all, one does not come in with a $100+ quality expectation from a $50 product. If my pair didn't have the defect and it died from old age, would I have bought it again? Hypothetically, if we freeze time on bluetooth earphone innovation and pretend the current market is a copy paste into the future, then yes. I would definitely buy these again if it didn't have that defect. Main reason why I didn't buy this again after returning the first pair was to avoid the hassle of having to return a 2nd pair if I am unfortunate enough to end up with a defective pair again. Would I recommend it? Yes, just hope you don't end up with a defective pair lol.

$200 build and sound quality for 1/4th the price it should be.
I took the plunge and bought these blind without reading reviews based on a single word-of-mouth recommendation on reddit and I must say, for $55, my expectations were not high. I have a pair of $400 fancy-ass planar magnetic IEM’s at home (Audeze iSine 10’s for those familiar) which are hailed as very high-quality high-end audiophile gear, so I was planning to use these as a throwaway at work and on the street where the convenience of a small form factor, inconspicuousness, low cost if they ever get lost or forgotten, and wireless connectivity are all more important than raw sound quality. That having been said, these Soundpeats Trueengine 3’s have blown my every possible expectation out of the water. PROS: - Exceptional sound quality, ESPECIALLY with the included Comply memory foam eartips. Just by my untrained ear, they sound LEAGUES better than my $400 audiophile IEM’s, which, in fairness, I was never really impressed with to begin with. Even so, these knocked it out of the park. - Stellar noise isolation - far and away the best I’ve ever seen. Once again, the fantastic high-quality memory foam eartips are a must here. (The ones that came with the $400 Audeze’s were DOG in comparison!) As an added bonus, the foam tips don’t irritate my ear canal at all, whereas typical rubber or latex sets will make me itch and burn within an hour of use regardless of size. - Imperceptible audio latency - can’t perceive any delay when playing games or watching videos compared to wired IEM’s. I’ve always been skeptical of wireless technology for this reason, so I’m glad to see my suspicions proven wrong in this instance. - Great wireless Bluetooth range - I can leave these on the kitchen table, jog down two flights of stairs, step out into the garage 25 feet away, close the door behind me, and these will still stay connected. I’d guesstimate the range to be 20-30 feet depending on obstructions and line-of-sight. - Quick and painless pairing - never given me any hassle even when switching between multiple devices, always just one tap and no extra fuss. If they’re already paired to a device, you don’t even need to tap any buttons - just take them out of the charging case and they automatically reconnect within two seconds before you’ve even put them in your ear. - High build quality. - Extremely long battery life - I regularly work 12.5- and 16.5-hour shifts for my day job during which these are practically never out of my ears, and I’ve never once had them die or even get close to dying on me. I also keep the carrying case on me at all times and put them right back in the case anytime they aren’t in my ears. This is primarily to prevent them from getting lost as I’m very prone to misplacing small items if they aren’t stored in a larger bag or case of some kind, but the fact that they charge very quickly within the case is incredibly convenient. - Sturdy and convenient carrying case with a satisfying magnetic snap to both the hinge and the earbuds within the slots that ALSO doubles as an extra 30hrs of portable charge time. Bright blue/white LED indicators within the case displaying remaining charge and battery levels are a nice touch, too. - Last but not least, a premium unboxing experience ;) CONS: - The touch controls are kinda dog - very sluggish response times, tiny touch-sensitive area, often doesn’t register taps or double taps at all, no flexibility to customize the commands assigned to each gesture, and the gestures themselves are poorly mapped as single tap corresponds to volume up/down while double and triple tap correspond to pause/play and voice command/assistant activation respectively, meaning you can’t spam volume commands to turn the volume up or down quickly, you have to tap, wait, tap, wait, tap, wait to avoid accidentally pausing/playing your track or activating the voice assistant, and I oftentimes find myself just reaching into my pocket to use my phone’s buttons instead since it’s almost always faster, completely defeating the point of even having volume control gestures on the earbuds in the first place. - Even though there’s no active noise cancelling, the passive sound isolation from the build and eartips is almost TOO high at times, especially with the included Comply memory foam ear tips: with my last pair of cheapo throwaway work buds, I was able to keep both earbuds in and still be able to hear phone calls and pager rings and the like, but with these, I have to stick to one ear only because with both buds in and a proper seal, I can literally clap my hands next to my head or snap my fingers by my ear and hear absolutely nothing. The tradeoff, of course, is stellar sound quality, but it’s still a mild shame that I can only get that quality in one ear while I’m at work and have to attend to the phone and listen to my supervisors. FINAL VERDICT: All in all, these are an absolute STEAL at $55. I could have easily seen myself paying in the $150-$200 range for these and still thinking it was great quality stuff for the price, but at $55? It’s a no-brainer. I don’t normally ever write reviews, and in fact this is the first and only review I’ve ever written for any Amazon product on this account, but these have been the biggest QoL upgrade I’ve EVER purchased for any piece of hardware, and I’m a $400 motherboard, $900 GPU, $1200 monitor, $500 SSD, $300 keyboard, and $120 controller kinda guy. So that kind of says a lot that these were easily a bigger deal than any of those despite being a tiny fraction the cost. My biggest gripe is that I can’t connect them to my Switch or PC due to lack of Bluetooth functionality on both, but I’m sure I’ll manage with my inconvenient-ass $400 IEM’s. c

mic doesnt work, terrible customer service
I wanted to like these a lot. The sound quality is nice, they pair fast, battery life is good, and the case is compact. I was happy with this product until I started making calls. All of my contacts stated my voice was very muffled and sounded like I was 100 ft from the mic. The description matches many other reviews here. I reproduced the issue while connecting the earbuds to another phone and my computer, so it wasn't an issue with my phone. Since it was 34 days since I purchased the product, I was unable to return through Amazon. I contacted Soundpeats customer service and they replied with silly questions such as "are the earbuds connected to your phone?" After further communication, I sent them an audio recording from my computer demonstrating the awful mic quality. This was their reply: "We can only ask our technical department to check the problem after received the earbuds, but it will take much time and postage, especially for now when the virus spreads all over the world. If the earbuds work well when you listen to music, would you mind to take $12 refund to keep the earbuds instead of the hassle to return?" In confusion, I replied, "To clarify, are you offering me a $12 refund to keep the defective earbuds?" They said yes, and increased the offer to $18.... I looked up shipping to china, which would have been at least $20. Thus, I was forced to accept the partial refund because I wasn't going to pay to ship my earbuds to Soundpeats only to have them "lost" or hear "sorry we can't fix these". I've never heard of a company trying to buy off a customer complaint by issuing a partial refund because "some features work." I didn't purchase the product for partial features. We all use phone earbuds to listen to audio but also as hands-free devices. So, overall I give 1 star due to the quality of the product and Soundpeats' customer service. If you still want these earbuds (maybe you'll get lucky and the mic will be fine), I suggest you test all features upon arrival so you remain within the 30-day return window.

Great but died after a couple years..
I bought these in January 2021, after buying them on a whim. Luckily they sounded amazing! Wanted to hear every song I liked thru them, which didn’t disappoint. Everything was great and dandy for awhile, I used to listen to them everyday on my bus ride to and from work, but in August of 2022, I began driving to work again. Put these in my center console just in case I’d need them for driving or whatever. Last night I pulled them out 3/19/2023, but they were dead, so I plugged them into charge all night. This morning I checked and it seemed like they charged, took them out of the case, they paired with my phone immediately, I didn’t do anything they just started playing thru the earbuds themselves, thought all was great but then 5 mins later, I heard the dreaded, “battery is low,” message thru the earbuds. That crushed my hopes, I knew they had sufficient time to charge, 10 hours should be good right? Well I plugged them in again but this time noticed the charging lights would flicker instead of showing a steady charge, which would light up the 5 lights in a sequence, 1,2,3,4,5. Instead 1 would flicker, 2-3 would light up for a millisecond and turn off, 4-5 didn’t light up at all. I went ahead and left it there for a couple hours hoping for the best but when I came back, pulled them out tried listening to some Tidal, but before the first song could play, “battery is low” message came on. I suppose I could still listen to music but that message would play every couple mins till the battery dies. So I had them for a couple years now, not sure what the expected life is for these. I would say I had a good 1.5 years listening to them everyday 1 hour to work, 1 hour back. They played perfectly throughout that time. I guess I got my money’s worth, but I just wished they still worked, I really enjoyed them. It feels like I just broke up with a girlfriend, kind of.. well onto the next! BTW, the video shows how they charge now…

Excellent earphones on a budget
These earphones are GREAT, You dont need BOSE or Apple headphones in order to get good quality sound. These will do the trick. I have been using them for over a month everyday on my ride to work and they do everything they say they do on youtube reviews. Base and treble are great and they sync to your phone really fast. Resumes play automatically and the touch buttons are sensational.
