I was initially disappointed as the yarn was much thinner than I'd expected. But . . . using a very fine crochet hook, it was made into some very colourful table mats.

The ball was much bigger than I expected and the cotton was thicker. I wanted 2ply but this is either 3ply or a fine 4ply. It kept splitting making it difficult to knit. Will try larger needles to see if that makes a difference. Gorgeous colours though.

This is only a small ball where the yarn is wrapped onto a card tube and a fine thread suitable for a 2mm crochet hook or 2.76 - 3.25 mm knitting needles in Chinese sizing. Made from 100% cotton with a gradient speckled colouring in like an almost pastel rainbow. I bought this for darning my socks as I have decided to avoid chucking sue to the odd hole that appears ( why chuck a perfectly good sock plus good for the environment). This has been perfect for this and yes a bit more expensive than embroidery thread bit I was after something a bit more fun considering I have brightly coloured cotton socks. I would recommend for darning.

This is thin for yarn - thickness of embroidery thread, but worked perfectly for what I needed.

Beware this yarn doesn’t change colour in a set/ organised way. The colour portions aren't all one colour but it keeps blobbing random colours here and there aswell. The quality of the yarn is nice. I just wish it went. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple…. Just like that, rather than red orange red yellow orange green yellow green blue green purple blue….

Purchased this to weave a small rainbow dish cloth. Wove up nice, but this cotton is useless for dish cloths as it is not absorbent, so I'm assuming that the cotton maybe mercerised. Seller could do will providing more information. Very expensive yarn compared to other dish cloth yarn, so I will not be purchasing any more.
