Damascus Chef Knife Petty Unique One Of Kind Handle Professional 6 Inch Japanese Chefs Kitchen Knife Vg10 67 Layers Damascus Steel Knive with Sheath

Update: Finally, finally, finally received my knife! I don't know why Amazon informed me that it was delivered on Sept 22 when it wasn't and delivered three days later, but now it is here! And after inspection I am pleased to inform that this exchanged knife is free of flaws! Not quite as sharp as the exchanged flawed one but it'll do, and I can sharpen to a surgical sharpness when needed. The quality seems very good and am happy with my purchase. It is a western style blade, meaning that it is sharpened on both sides and should serve me well in my job as a chef. I purchased this on a whim because my current petty knife is nearly at its end of life and wanted a "better" one. I will update as I use the knife as to its overall quality and usage. The handle is based on the Japanese octagonal shape and forms well within your hand. The metal has a "partially" Damascus look but it's layers in the Japanese metal of VG10 (as true Damascus steel would begin to rust if left wet and would be much, much more expensive than this knife). Also the "hamon" line is not real, more like a design, but can't complain at the price of this knife (not yet anyway lol). Upon inspection of the blade itself I found a divot, like something pointed fell upon the metal near the handle. I requested an exchange and this process was quick and easy. I then mailed it out via UPS as directed. I still have not received my exchange as of Sept 24, 2023 yet have still paid the price of $94.15. I was sent a notice by Amazon stating it was delivered, Sept 22, but have not found it anywhere in the locations that Amazon delivers to so am unable to give a review on the exchanged knife as I have not received it.

As a professional chef I plow through cases of vegetables as well as fruits, and I was not expecting the quality I got. I have used several knives in my career but this knife has the quality that match hajegato knives the blade is sharp however needed honing upon arrival. On top of that I have gotten several compliments at work about the style of the handle. A lot of the bad reviews note on the fixture of the blade to the handle, however mine is near perfect and if you read that review I’m here to tell you they fixed that problem as much as humanly possible. This is not a machined knife!!! This knife has blown out my custom honesuki and has taken a place as my go to veg/ meat prep/ fine work knife. Only thing that presents an issue is orange supreme but only because of the curve of the blade but damn it’s doable and it will do everything else…. -from a scratch kitchen chef Putting out 300+ covers every Friday Saturday night

Great blade...thin, razer sharp, beautiful. Only down side of custom handles is ours showed up very pink. See pic. Not good for my daughter's boyfriend. Otherwise wonderful size and shape.

It's my second one great knives for the price

Love this petty knife, light and easy usage. Has replaced my santoku currently as a prep knife. Sharp from the box, was worried about the height of the blade as most petty/ pairing have to be used at an angle. Essentially a mini chef knife. And the handle is great!

I really really wanted to like this knife - I don't and it's incredibly disappointing. This knife was quite expensive and does not live up to even 1/3 the price. The handle it came with is quite pink and does not match up to the design pictured- I know it's "one of a kind" but even the colours didnt match up. The design on the blade is also not as pictured, said blade is also incredibly incredibly dull out of the box. Ergonomically it's also a nightmare. The curvature of the blade isn't great for cutting straight down nor is it for rocking, the hook on the back of the blade is perfectly placed to nick or cut you it you tried to use this as a parking knife for peeling - which you cant really do because the handle and the offset of the blade is too far off for comfort, if you can get comfy you'll probably get cut by the butt of the blade. So it's dull, even if you sharpened it, doesn't function well in its design, even if you kept it because it "looks cool" it doesn't look like the photo 0/5

I bought the complete set of knives for my daughter. These are the most unique knives I've ever seen. Price is not bad for what you get. Are made to last a life time plus.

Should be a option for male or female colour. I got super feminine colour scheme. Still a fan of the knife,, thing is a treat. Beautiful steel, sharp and cuts like a dream. Now the colour thing. I actually wanted because of the unique handle, just wish I would a got one that was more manly. Lmao

I bought this knife for my partners birthday, he loves cooking and loves his knives even more. This knife is perfect! It’s well balanced and absolutely stunning. The blade its self is incredibly sharp and glides perfectly through any food item. My partner couldn’t be any happier and is finding any excuse to use it any chance he gets. For anyone looking for a beautiful, sharp and unique knife then this is the one!!! Will definitely be purchasing more in the future!!

When ordered this, I had ordered a dalstrong shadow black vegetable knife. So i have tested both. Excepting the building flaws, the dalstrong knife had difficulties cutting onions, peppers, potatoes,etc. and was bulky. Now when i first hold the Hajegato knife, I fall inlove. Good quality, easy holding, razor blade sharp, nice and comfy. The cut is is made easy and clean. And also balanced. The blade guard is also taking care of your knife , being made of plastic on exterior and plush/velvety on interior (it won’t scratch your blade). I recommend it. Now i save money to buy another two. P.s. I am a Chef !
