Absolutely the best
Hands down this is the best $100 I have ever spent. I own two cars and inevitably, one of them will have a dead battery after a few weeks of non-use. All I have to do is connect this thing, wait under a minute, and the car starts. If the battery is really, really dead sometimes I have to let it charge a while (like 3-5 minutes), but I am telling you this thing is gold. It beats the heck out of calling the auto club or trying to track someone down who has jumper cables. If my car battery is dead, this is like a 5 minute fix, if it is even that long. Just tonight, one of my stupid cars had a dead battery after only 3 days of sitting, and this is the middle of summer... not like it's cold out or anything. Being the cheapo that I am, I am not going to replace the battery until it absolutely will not work. I used the NOCO and it started right up. Prior to today, I think it's been a good 6 months since I had to jump a car (so it was winter) and this thing has sat around since then. It did not lose charge in storage and worked right away! I don't really use the carrying case so much because I am almost always jumping the car from home but it is nice to have. I do wish the cables were longer but I can live with that. When it does need charged, I just plug it in and it's pretty quick to charge. I have never used the USB out port to see what it does. The NOCO is small enough to carry if needed, is not heavy and is much better than hauling jumper cables. I'm an old lady and even I can operate this with no effort. By the way, I bought it in April 2024 and it's now August 2026 and it still works great. Get one!

Where has this been all my life!!!???
This amazing NOCO Boost GB40 saved me towing fees! Last week I went to start my 2019 Honda CR-V, only to discover that it wouldn’t start and the dash readout was showing it to be a brake problem. After 3 tries at starting, it went completely dead. So I assumed it had to be the battery. I live in a very rural area w/no immediate neighbors, so I planned to call a tow truck the following day to get it to a repair shop. A little internet research that night seemed to confirm that a low battery can cause incorrect readouts. I also discovered the existence of jump start devices, previously unknown to me! Went on Amazon to check out the one referred to in a comment & it had very good reviews—over 130,000 of them. I got it 2 days later & it started my car immediately! The absolute BEST $99 I’ve spent in ages! It charged faster than I expected and is small & lightweight enough to carry in the glove box. Obviously I cannot recommend this highly enough!!!

Amazing!!!
Amazing product! It’s compact, easy to use, and gives me peace of mind knowing I have it in my car in case of an emergency. The instructions are straightforward, and I love that it doesn’t take up much space. It feels sturdy and well made, and the carrying case makes it easy to keep everything organized. Definitely a useful item to have in your car!

A must have for your vehicle
This thing is it must have in your car. Compact and Powerful I've used it so much since I bought it I even bought one for my daughter when she got her first car. Highly recommend this brand it keeps a charge a very long time and it has lots of little features on it that are valuable. Spending $100 on this little device and knowing that my daughter won't be stranded hoping that a stranger would help her jump her car is more than worth the Peace of Mind.

Excellent! But can discharge itself!
Needs of switch or lock function so no accidental flashlight draining battery. For jumping vehicles, Jeep, Car, midsize Truck, had worked well for me and for helping others so seems there's plenty of power and cranking amps. Holds a charge reasonably well; no idea how fast it charges because I put it on at night, ready in the morning. I do this if it gets below 50%, so don't know if it will jump a vehicle with only 25% left. Had a Rugged Geek model before, but upgraded to this because of inconsistent jumping ability, sometimes it just wouldn't work; worth the price for something that works! Fix the accidental light! Numerous times I found something had managed to press the light button through the storage bag, last time I saw it happen just lightly setting the bag down with the charged unit in the floor of my Jeep; setting, not throwing/tossing, didn't put anything on top of it, lightly laid out down on the floor mat and watched the weight of the manual and cables cause the light to turn on! This, coupled with my wife recently pulling hers out to help someone on the side of the road, and it was mostly discharged despite it not being used since charging less than 2 months ago, had me wanting to give this review so hopefully more people will tell NOCO to fix this. Not cool. The included caring case is just a light cloth bag giving NO protection. Good thing the durability seems really good, especially the dust and water resistant covers for plugs and the cables being really short leaves little room for error/damage. Our backpacking air mattress pumps have a feature where you hold the power button long to lock it, then anything shorter than a 5 second press won't unlock it or turn it on in a bag, and the Rugged Geek model has a physical off switch, nothing works unless you flip the switch to connect the circuit first; either of these options would make these jumper boxes better, but at least some kind of case or protective shield over the light button should happen!

One of my best purchases from Amazon
This thing is amazing. I can't believe I hesitated to buy this product. Here is my story: This past Sunday I woke up to my 2014 BMW X5's flat battery. There was a cold snap and within a couple of days my battery was dead. The last time it was functional was Friday night. I called my auto shop on Monday and due to pretty much everyone in the area having dead batteries due to the cold snap, I couldn't get an appointment for a week. I didn't know if I should jump it, or call roadside assistance and drive it around to make sure the battery was fine before next Monday. Instead, I took a chance on this wonderful device. It came yesterday and I was already impressed with just the packaging. It's minimal, sturdy, and accurate. Straight to the point packaging. I opened it up, and started charging the remaining battery. Apparently, it comes 75% charged and you have to do the rest. I used a USB-C cable from my computer and charged it full within minutes. By the way, the USB slots on this device are USB-C. I've seen a few reviews say that it's MicroUSB. The one I purchased is USB-C which was another plus since you can use this to charge your phone. Fast forward to this morning. I let my car sit for another day, which I thought may have been a mistake. I went down to try to use this device to re-awaken my beast... his name is Benny. Benny the Beemer. Anyway... I attached the positive and negative clamps to the posts under my hood. For most BMW owners, those posts are connected directly to the battery which (in)conveniently is in the trunk behind a electrical trunk latch. BMW did a solid adding these posts under the hood so you didn't have to mess with the trunk release. I turned the device on and the light appeared, but the LED's for Boost weren't "chasing" as the manual says. I figured my battery was completely deceased and I would have to call for RA or a tow. I checked the manual again and I missed the spot called "Manual Override". Now, as a sci-fi geek, this intrigued me greatly. Manual Override you say? Yes, if your car has a completely flat battery, so flat that the device cannot detect that it's even connected to a battery, it will not function within the safety limits. Meaning the device doesn't know it's connected to a battery so it will not provide the 2A charge for safety reasons. That's what the Manual Override button is for. I love it. As soon as I pushed that button, the car came to life. It was like Frankenstein's monster. Everything negative turned positive (NPI). See, the Manual Override sends the 2A charge without verifying it's connected to a battery. This lifts the dead battery to at least 2A so you can try and start the car. The car came to life, the alarm started blaring so I jumped into the drivers seat, said a split second prayer to the car gods, and VROOOM! Benny was alive. This device is amazing. I will be buying one for everyone in my family. Everyone should have this device in their car. If it can bring back my 2.5T 11 year old 3.0L twin turbo beast, it can bring backs yours as well. This device can handle anything up to 6.0L for gas and 3.0L for diesel. Buy this now, especially if you live in colder climates.

Works Great!
So happy i bought this. Something keeps draining my battery in my car, So i used to have to unhook the battery after i drove it, Then hook it back up when i was going somewhere againl. But now i dont need to. This little jumper makes it so much easier. It holds a charge for a really long time. And when my battery is dead all i do is put the claps on the battery, Press the on button, And then start my car. It works great and doesnt take up any space. I dont leave home without it.

Small, compactor and portable.
Wow, what a cool item. Forgot to turn key to off and left car overnight. Yup, completely dead. New battery too. Read the directions and had to use the bypass safety mode. Battery was less than 2 amps. Pressed touch button on charger and started vehicle right up. Great to have, no need for clumsy jumper cables and another battery. One charge is good for about 20 jumps.

Will charge a completely dead battery.
Brilliant bit of kit, actually works. I am always sceptical of these units and went for a brand that is well known and trusted, and I am glad I did. I have a 2.2l Diesel and it started it first time, so power wise, no issues. Really easy to use, simple to charge. Comes with a small bag to store everything in, which is nice. Cable lengths are short but not an issue. My car's negative point is covered in my car so the leads were long enough for me to connect to a grounding point and the positive point on the battery. Kit seems robust enough so should be pretty durable, it doesn't feel cheap.
