ATP Automotive AT-205 Re-Seal Stops Leaks, 8 Ounce Bottle,1-Pack

Okay, where do we begin. I bought my vehicle from a dealer who bought it from an insurance lot. Something has fallen onto the vehicle and crashed the hood and the surrounding areas. But the engine bay was untouched. The vehicle sat at the insurance lot for about 6 months without being started. Once the dealer purchased it he took it to a body shop where they fixed all the body panels the hood etc. Then when they try to sell the vehicle they had a hard time selling it because it was a six-speed manual transmission. So it's sad at the dealership for another 4 months. Now all this sitting and not running caused the rear main seal to dry out. After I purchased the vehicle about 3 months into driving a substantial leak happened at the rear main seal where I was losing about half a quart of oil a week. Took it to the dealership the estimate to fix it was around $3,800. Called a independent mechanic it was about 2800 to $3,000 to fix it. I just did not have that amount of money to throw at it. So I started searching online and stumbled upon AT205. Now before I purchased this product I did my due diligence did the research watched the video of the manufacturer. Educated myself and how is this product different from any other stop leak product. And where I was sold was that this product did not swell the seals but what it did was or what it does is it rejuvenates and restores the elasticity and the plasticity of the seals due to the plasticizers and plastic stabilizers that this product contains. So I bought it. The product arrived quickly, and as quickly as it did arrive I poured it into my engine. I mean what's the worst that can happen, it doesn't work right. I followed the instructions drove the car around for about 30 minutes to let everything mix in. And then it was time to drive and get about 5 hours of driving time. It took about 5 days of commuting back and forth to work to get those 5 hours in. After about 3 hours I noticed when I would stop at a parking spot for extended period of time and I would move my vehicle instead of having 10 drops of oil under the engine I would have three or four. After about 5 to 7 hours of driving The only oil left was the residual oil on the bottom of the engine that I have not wiped off yet because a car is too low to the ground. It's been about 2 weeks now and I have zero drips of oil under my car. Fresh oil that is. At my house in the driveway I still do have the oil spots from the leak that were there before I use this product. As of now there are dried out and everyday I check for new spots and I see any. I'm highly satisfied with this product and what it has done thus far. How is it going to work in the future I don't know. Will the oil leak come back with my next oil change not sure. But what I do know as of right now there's no leak. I'm thinking about buying another bottle and add it with my next oil change just to be sure that those seals get the love that they need to be able to seal the engine properly for a long time to come. One thing I'm going to do is, I will update this review a year from today. If you have a car that has a front main or rear main seal leak or any other leak when your engine try this product out it might just save you hundreds of dollars that you may or may not have. Yes I highly recommend this product to anybody that has a engine leak.

I have to say that it is very rare I would ever use or recommend anything from the "snake oil" section of an auto parts store This AT-205 I had researched and felt as comfortable as one can be using any additive. I had purchased a 2006 Ford Explorer with a very minor leak at the rear main seal. I am sure starting with a very minor leak helped too. The vehicle literally looked brand new. It looked like the leather seats had never been used. There was not a single mark on the paint. The motor and transmission worked flawlessly. The only thing I intended to do is replace the plugs with high end Iridiums, the old ones were worn but nothing about their condition otherwise. Its a big job to replace the rear main seal so I decided to give this a try along with a high end oil and filter change then another after a short time to help remove some of the sludge. I added a bottle of this with the second oil change and obviously the seal swelled as intended and there was no more leak. I had a motor that had been well maintained and a very minor leak. Had the leak been worse I suspect this would not have worked as well, fix things fast before they get worse and more expensive. But I was fortunate and this additive was a legitimate product and did what it was designed to do. There is no question this worked in my case and saved me big money if I had needed to replace that seal If your leak is minor then I have to recommend giving this a try. It is one of the rare items that actually worked as intended. I am very happy with the results. I have watched how spraying this on rubber suspension parts extends their life as they do dry out. Not a bad idea and perhaps save some big amounts of cash.

Our 2006 Itasca/Winnebago Class A has four massive hydraulic jacks for leveling and stabilization that were leaking at the seals when we bought it in spring of 2025. Previous owner said the problem was especially bad when the RV was stored with jacks down over winter. The problem got really ugly when I discovered that the jacks were no longer available and would need to be replaced entirely, unless I wanted to attempt an undocumented seal replacement science experiment. Replacing the entire set would have cost $8,000 and (wait for it) ther'd be NO WARRANTY unless I replaced the pump and control valve body at the same time! I tend to be skeptical of 'repair juice' -- but just one bottle of this in the 2 gallon main reservoir (and about twenty cycles later) the leaks had stopped completely -- the rams were totally dry! The acid test came when we put it away in November, left it on the jacks and now six months later there has been absolutely ZERO leakage despite winter temperatures down to minus 26 degrees! The pump runs smoother and the system works like new. I will use this stuff in ANY hydraulic system at the first sign of wetness at the seals.

2009 Impala 3.5L V6 developed a power steering leak from the passenger side rack and pinion seal in September 2025. This was manageable until November when the leak started to get so bad that I could go on a 30-mile round trip, and after getting back my power steering reservoir would be almost empty. I could feel the power steering going hard as I was driving, and it was leaking fluid all over the subframe and onto the ground. With the car on jack stands and running, you could literally see fluid dripping onto the ground. I had also heard of this product from Scotty Kilmer and a few other people. I put only about 1.5 oz of this stuff in. I've driven almost 1200 miles since then, and this stuff really does work very well. Many days I'll come home and there will be effectively zero fluid loss. It usually takes me about 3 weeks for the reservoir level to be close enough to the "low" line that I don't want to risk running the pump dry, and so I'll add fluid then. Mind you - this Impala has a pretty small reservoir capacity, so we're talking a few ounces of fluid at most. I have no doubt that this product could also fix a small oil leak from the valve cover and oil pan gaskets on this car. Project Farm, scientific car channel, tested oil "stop leak" products, and AT-205 was THE best in restoring worn rubber seals to their original thickness. Also keep in mind that power steering systems are probably the least likely to benefit from this product, and it's worked very well for me. This product is not going to help you if you have an obvious tear in the seal. It can't mend two broken bits of rubber back together. But if your seals are just old and shrunken like mine are on a 17-year-old GM product with 150,000 miles in Ohio weather, this stuff is well worth the money to at least try it and see if it works - and if it doesn't, then you know you have a bigger problem on your hands.

I would 100% try this first instead of replacing a steering rack! It sealed the fluid leaking through the boots! It seems a little thin so I would be careful in an engine or a transmission. The bottle did have a small pinhole leak upon arrival but what’s more ironic than a stop leak leaking!🤣

Product has always worked for worn seals as advertised. I put in a BMW engine with worn valve guide seals and it stopped smoking on start up. Cheap probably temperaly fix.

ATP Automotive AT-205 Re-Seal offers only average value as a quick-fix solution. While it initially works to rejuvenate rubber seals and stops leaks for awhile, the effects are unfortunately temporary, and the leaks eventually return once the formula wears out. Given the price, it doesn’t provide a permanent solution for aging components, making it a frustrating investment. Because it lacks long-term reliability and failed to fix the issue permanently, I don't think I'll purchase this again. Ultimately, this product earns a negative rating from me; save your money for proper mechanical repairs instead of relying on this temporary patch.

I have a fairly mint 2006 BMW 530. I've spent the last year or so trying to restore it to top performance and fuel economy by refreshing the fuel system and sealing any and every last gap. I replaced all the related consumable parts like the oil fill cap (the gasket was super flat), the gas cap, manifold gaskets, fuel filter, O2 sensors, plugs etc. The changes were noticeable at every step. But when I was sure I was finally done, I checked the long term fuel trims and did a smoke test. And wouldn't you know the LTFTs were at like 15% and smoke was coming out of the valve head cover on all sides. I replaced the valve cover gasket maybe 3 years ago figured it was good, but just dry-shrunk. So this seemed like the perfect time to try AT-205 having heard rave reviews about it. I added about 1 oz for every quart of fuel and immediately ran out for a few errands to give it a chance to mix well. It was that easy. And wouldn't you know its just 3 days later and the LTFTs are now steady between 0-2% and I'm not seeing any smoke even when I crank my machine up to 25psi. You can (not) hear and feel it in the idle of the car too. You have to be standing right next to it to even hear that its running or check the dash if your in the car. ATP was the magic sauce that got me to a perfectly sealed, optimally efficient drive. I CAN believe that such a simple product can deliver such measurable results so easily, because literally everybody who knows says so. But its still amazing to realize the results for yourself. If you even think you have dry rubber or leaky gaskets, it seems like it will pay for itself in fuel economy alone in short order. Don't even hesitate. This stuff is liquid gold.

used half the bottle as that works for my just over 4L tank - stopped the leak in my 95 saab aero (2003) - would have cost me $3500 to fix a stupid $10 seal between the head and transmission otherwise. seems like I will be able to pass inspection now!

Normally I do not believe in products like this, in the past I was using one with Liquid and M... in name, but it did not work. I didn't want to disassemble steering rack in my old car, so I figured I could continue with the leak or roll a dice on this 40 eur thing. It just works :D The description says "will work in 5 hours" - yeah right. It turned out it did. I put it in, drove the car for around an hour and parked overnight. No leak! Previously it would leave an wet undercariage of a car, but now after 2 weeks driving - dry. I 100% recommend, if I will need something like this in a future I will definatelly use this one.
