With copper cable fast dissapearing from the UK telephone system we shouldn't have to pay line rental! But BT still do! So to combat this I purchased this excellent adapter that turnes my internet into a landline. You'll need a pay for a Voip service like SOHO66 here in the UK after which a small monthly connect fee is charged. Calls are charged at a low rate so overall we're saving at least £17 on line rental. A bit fiddly to set up but worth the while if you need a land line and don't want to use a smart phone which is on a PAYG tarrif.

After reading all the hype I purchased this item hoping it would be the answer to using again my retro telephones. Unfortunately it failed to produce anything.After downloading the instructions - they weren’t with the product - deciphering the the very complicated script for two hours I installed the unit and …….. waiting for it ……. Nothing.It didn’t work. I telephoned customer services and they couldn’t get it to work. I telephoned my service provider who after an hour trying to help me gave up and told me to chuck the item in the bin.So I returned it and took a refund for my trouble.Oh and my service provider sent me a price of equipment which just plugged into the wall socket and hay presto my retro phones work perfectly.

There was nothing wrong with the product it was not compatible for my use

It wasn't compatible with our phone and router.

Arrived promptly but when I tried to use it discovered that the socket to plug in the phone was not compatible with the plug on the phone, not clear from description or photos.Returned for refund without issue.

I read some of the reviews and thought it'd be a risk buying this.........but wow its soo simple and works fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone switching to a VOIP service, especially if you wish to not buy a new phone and use your old ones.

Was delivered earlier than quoted.I needed help to set it from Soho66 even with the Linksky online manual. Many people say these devices don't work - it just needs persistence to set up.

The adapter did not work nor could the internet technician debug it. Contacting Linksys I was informed it was manufactured by Sisco, whose service department state ‘Classed as obsolete, past end of life and end of support status. End of sale date May 2012 end of support May 2013.
