Happy
Delivery on time. Works well. Quite small but as a single bloke more than sufficient.

Poorly designed
I genuinely didn’t expect much at this price point, but this sandwich maker still managed to disappoint. First off, the plates are far too small for standard slices of bread from a typical 800g loaf. You end up either trimming your bread (wasteful) or awkwardly forcing it to fit, which just makes everything worse. The design gets even more frustrating when you actually start cooking. The ridges on the plates aren’t deep enough to properly crimp and seal the edges of the sandwich, so instead of a neat toastie, half the filling just leaks out the sides. That alone makes it messy and impractical to use. There’s also a noticeable gap between the edge of the cooking plates and the surrounding plastic housing. This feels like a major design flaw, because it gives any escaping filling a direct path into the internal components. Which brings me to the biggest issue: after making my very first sandwich, the unit tripped my RCD breaker when I unplugged it. The most likely explanation is that the leaking filling got into the internals via that gap and caused a short. That’s not just poor design — it’s a safety concern. Overall, this feels like a product that wasn’t properly thought through or tested in real-world use. Messy, poorly designed, and potentially unsafe. Avoid.

Great sandwich maker - good value”
I’m giving 4 stars for this sandwich toaster. Cooking ability: Makes good toasties with even heating. Ease of use: Heats up quickly and is straightforward to operate. Ease of cleaning: Easy to clean thanks to the non-stick surface - quick wipe down and it’s done. Quality: Good quality construction that feels reliable and well-made. Looks: Has a decent appearance for a kitchen appliance. Weight: Reasonably lightweight and easy to store. Value for money: Excellent value - you get good performance at a reasonable price. Overall, a dependable sandwich maker that does the job well. Recommended.

Good value for everyday use
I’ve been using this Belaco toaster for m years now and it does the job really well, especially for the price. The design is simple and fits nicely in my kitchen, and it doesn’t take up too much space.

Not fit for purpose
This is not for for purpose. First of all its much smaller than any of the makers of a similar cost that I have bought before. So small in fact that even the cheaper small slices of bread spill out of the sides. Furthermore it is impossible to clip the lid closed, even with thin slices the two slices of bread are too thick for the clip lid to be pulled down far enough for the clip to close. On top of this the clip itself is very flimsy plastic so I doubt if it actually closed that it would last too long. I have tried this machine by making toasties without filling and with various types of bread and none allow the press to be clipped tight. Which result in soggy crusts and un sealed toasties. Unfortunately, none if these issues are apparent until you use the product which then means returning it for a refund is no longer an option, so im stuck with it.
