Finally don’t feel like I’m going to drop the camera.
This just in between the Sony AG-R2 grip and the Smallrig full cage. You now have a good grip and half of pinky fits on it. Doesn’t feel like I’m going to drop the RX100’s slippery body anymore. I think it’ll be a good value when it goes on sale. Could be a tad steep on full price. I did not have any fitting issues like some reviewers did. Everything fits tight and was easy to install with just the included wrench. Build quality looks and feels like emit will last quite awhile. Functionality wise, it’s just big enough that it will go in out of men’s pants pocket fine. It also fits compact camera case fine, unlike the Smallrig full cage where it wouldn’t fit a compact camera case.Overall highly recommended. If you want to go smaller though, go with the Sony grip. I’ve heard that one also fits with official Sony case fine.

Fits Perfectly, Looks Great, Adds Real Gripping Capability to the RX100
Most people who have any generation of the Sony RX100 series camera love them, but one of the very things we like so much about them--their smallness--also contributes to difficulty in getting a good grip on them. The RX100 bodies (at least up to the 7th generation) are made with a smooth finish on the body which, while looking nice, makes it all the more difficult to ensure it stays in your hand. A wrist strap is highly recommended. This new grip from SmallRig is a very high-quality piece of equipment that mounts to the bottom of your RX100 via a single hex screw and adds a supremely comfortable and nice-looking grip to the right side of the camera while only adding about 60 g of weight or so. This is no piece of rubbish: it is a well-built and finished piece of hardware that perfectly fits on the RX100 and really makes one-hand holding of the camera much more feasible. The wood is very well finished, with a light oak color that contrasts well with the modern look of the camera. giving it a kind of unique appearance. The curves on the grip are made just in the right places so that your fingers fall into a comfortable position on the camera and the grip. I suspect this will also help in reducing blur in photos because of the improved grip this piece offers. You can still use a tripod with this grip attached, as there are four screw holes on the bottom of the grip for such a purpose. Also, in an appreciated touch, the grip does not cover the battery and card slot, so you can change both batteries and cards without removing and replacing the grip. The only thing I can really think of that is not so good is that mounting and removing the piece requires the use of the supplied hex screwdriver. It would have been better to have a built-in screw with a folding handle that would negate the need to keep track of the second piece of hardware. Quite frankly, on a device this nice, I'm pretty shocked they did not do this. Nevertheless, I will easily give this a five-star rating. It's a great product.

Very well made, but just a little large
My expensive, small Sony camera lacked the usual finger grip. This item fixes that, attaching to the camera using the tripod mount screw. I liked this idea, since the alternate was something you have to glue onto the front of the camera. The item fit perfectly, was very secure, and didn't block any access flaps. And I didn't have to worry about making a permanent change to the camera.But... it did make the camera effectively larger, and the small size was important to me. So I wound up using the AGR2 glue-on type instead. If a small size increase is not an issue for you, this device is an excellent choice.

Perfect Fit - Really Improves Camera Ergonomics
I love my Sony camera - but it is a little hard to hold, especially one handed. I've always kept a small tripod attached just to provide extra grip and stability - but had to keep removing it to change the battery/card.This grip is VERY well thought out. It 'could' be slightly deeper for my hands, but is very comfortable. Here are the advantages that I haven't really seen mentioned before:- There are slight gaps where you would normally attach a strap - this allows you to keep your hand/neckstrap attached (though you need to attach it prior to affixing this grip to the camera)- The base allows for full access to the battery/card - but it does add a bit of depth. Big fingers may have a little more issue fitting into the shallow 'tunnel' this creates, but it actually makes me feel that door is a little more protected.- Setting this on the ground means the camera itself is elevated slightly off the dirt - nice.- There are several mounting holes for a tripod - two of which would place your tripod in direct line of the lens axis - which is good for some situations.- The additional holes move a small quick-release plate far enough over so that you do not have to remove it (or a mini-tripod) in order to access the battery. So what I gained was great grip and the ability to leave a small plate/tripod attached all the time.Finally. I feel I can mount a tripod much more securely - I'm not screwing into the mount (which is surrounded by plastic). This makes the camera feel much more secure on the tripod and I don't deal with minor slippage from mini-tripods that have small rubber bases.
