Roast Italian Espresso Coffee Maker Moka Pot Express - 6-cup, Rubber Handle, Rounded Base

I've used a small Bialetti for years -- following a trip to Florence where everyone used them -- but I wanted to also have a larger size for use with guests. This one works perfectly, and is fantastic value for money. In my experience it works best with espresso grounds but it can be used with regular coffee grounds too. One of the best things about these moka pots is how versatile they are.They also make great gifts, especially if paired with some Lavazza espresso for a real Italian experience.

I really like this espresso maker. I have been looking at them for awhile but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money on one. I was offered this item at a discounted price in trade for an honest review. I have not been disappointed.I have been using this item almost everyday for 2 weeks. I also have a Keurig and a french press. I feel that this makes a darker finished brew, and is very easy to use and clean up. There are a few things to make sure you do. Tamp your coffee in the filter cup, and do not fill above the copper valve on the bottom portion. My husband has had it leak steam from the connection between the top and bottom, but I have not had this problem. I have also noticed you can't pour fast. If you do the coffee will run down the side.We did go look at other brands in stores and didn't see a significant difference in design or difference in visualized materials.I am happy I got this, I gave 5 stars even with my husband reporting it leaking steam a few times. I have not had that problem with it, I am wondering if it was operator error.

As a picky coffee lover, I was initially skeptical about purchasing this moka pot. I was pleased to see that it was a sturdy, durable espresso maker that produced an excellent coffee. I regularly use my Keurig and French press, but I think that this moka pot beats both of those! Obviously, the better the coffee bean, the better the brew - but I noticed that this moka pot produces a rich, dark espresso and was very easy to use! (The instructions were included in the bullet points under the product description.)

I've been using it for a good two months. It leaks around the middle chamber when heated no matter how tight I screw it and this could be a problem with heat escaping the seal. I think rubber could have been placed around the handle to make holding the Moka pot less uncomfortable because it's easy to burn yourself touching the aluminum. Other than that, it makes pretty good coffee. I've never used a Moka pot so I cannot compare Roast's offering to other Moka pots.

bought it for camping also cuz the price $5. cheap material of course. Tried couple times, just the filtration allow some coffee ground to by past . over all it works for just camping.
