I got this because of physical difficulties in replacing the batteries (using rechargeables so cost was not an issue). The description said it could be used with my model, an A&D Lifesource ESSENTIAL (model UA-651CNBLE) and it's part number matches what the BP monitor's manual recommends. it works without issue, and without concern about dodgy reading towards the end of battery life. The cord is long enough to reach behind the reading chair but not quite to the AC outlet, so I had to use a power bar (not a big deal because other devices get plugged in and it is surge protected). The body extends sideways from the plug and is narrow so it doesn't block other outlets on the power bar. It's ironic that I got the battery power BP monitor for the freedom to use it wherever I wanted but ended up with a power cord to free myself from frequent battery changes. Such is life. I'm just really glad the option was provided, and by the manufacturer, at that.

After 15 years of frequent use, the AC Adapter that came with my blood pressure monitor began to fail and finally would not work at all. The dilemma of where to find a replacement was solved on Amazon. The new one that I chose seemed the same as the non-functioning unit and was sold alongside the same brand of blood pressure monitor that I own, so felt confident that it was the correct item, and it was. I am pleased to be using my B/P monitor again with the new AC adapter functioning perfectly.
