Broke first use
I bought a pair of these chairs in June and used them for the first time at a reenactment camp in late August. One of the chairs failed on the first day. The rear, top cross bar developed a crack from the nail hole. This bar supports the chair back and holds the X shape of the deployed legs. Failure of this piece renders the chair unsafe fo use. I used the chair for about an hour on level ground, and I only weigh 192 pounds. It appears that the wood had a flaw from the time the nail was set in the crossbar.

This chair is great... and comfy with and without a cushion. It comes assembled and it’s folds easily and it’s sturdy.
