This is good quality line, especially for the price. I bought a 300 foot spool to use as clothes line, or a replacement for a standard cotton clothes line anyway. For anyone not familiar with it, this poly stuff is slick which makes it harder to pull tight and, in general, this stuff is harder to tie than line made of other materials which are less slippery. As far as that goes though, this is quality poly and it has been a perfect upgrade for our 75' (150' circuit) clothes line. The line is very "clean" in that it does not exhibit many stray fibers. A line with a lot of fibers sticking out like porcupine quills is a low quality line. This stuff is lower stretch than the clothes line it replaced but it still will stretch out to some extent. I've had to retighten our new line twice in the first two weeks. With that said, this stuff probably only stretches 2 - 3% or so where the "high quality" cotton fiber clothes line we had before had probably stretched closer to 7 or 8% and required repeated adjustment as long as three months after I first put it in. I think maybe cinching this new line one more time ought see it staying singing in the wind tight. Being three times stronger than purpose made clothes line and also being synthetic, this should last a few times longer for our application and I'm certain it won't break. Anyone looking for decent 1/4" poly (floating line) can grab this stuff and feel right about it.

Bought for my 300ft well pump install. Got it all laid out and started bundling the pipe, wire, and rope then discovered the rope was approx 20 ft short! Had to stop whole project and go buy more.

The rope was only 230’ not 300’ as described. I would return it but I used it to tie off a submersible pump. I wasn’t going to pull the pump back out so I guess I’m screwed. Don’t make the same mistake I did, purchase from someone else.

We now consider this a staple to have on hand, we use it so much.

As expected, good quality

Works well for the need.

Liked buying the exact length I needed for shrimping and it works great on my electric pot puller.
