I believe this was poorly manufactured. Screw holes didn’t line up. Breech and basket didn’t line up. When basket finally put on it was extremely unstable and dog would not stay in it. It was very difficult to do business with this vendor right from the beginning. Returned this item a week ago and we still have not received our refund yet!!!

I spent a lot of time looking for a basket for my dog, and this was one of the only ones where I could have my dog in front of me, but his weight isn't on my handle bars. Was difficult to put together at first, the screws that went under the basket were a strangely long length, but I added a small dog pad to bottom for comfort and my dog loves it. There is a clip on the inside so I can secure him in to his harness (works best with a harness that has a chest clip too) and if he feels unruly, I can zip him in, and he still has some visibility. I use the clear outer plastic connection for when it is colder to keep the wind off of him. Just wish it was not so easy for him to nose the plastic covering off when he is not also zipped up. The side pockets are good for holding his leash and there are clips so I can clip on his water bottle and potty bags. The basket attaches and detaches from the rack with ease, and I can attach my bike light under the basket to the rack at night. Overall a great purchase, and do recommend for anyone with a small dog. My dog is 11 pounds and fits in the XL basket with a blanket (I did not know how big he would be when I bought it). Would give 5 stars if it was easier to put together, and if I could lock the basket to the rack when leaving the bike (not easy to carry the basket around, even with the straps).

Completely unsafe for dogs. We had about 10 casual rides before the hard plastic attachment for the metal from broke off. The carrier and my dog went flying. Completely unsafe and should not be bought or sold on Amazon. If I could give negative stars I would.
