Many of the needles were easily broken as I was felting my doll head. Haven’t had this problem with other needles. A doll head that I had spent many hours on had to be scrapped due to a needle breaking and I was unable to locate and remove the broken needle tip from inside the doll head making it unsafe for child’s play. Not only am I out the cost of the needles that I will not use now but I’m out 1/4 pound of wool and a lot of time.

I also got these to repair cat scratches to my furniture so I can’t comment on how effective the needles are for felt crafting. But for me, the little barbs on the ends of the needles are just a tiny bit too barb-like. I think I need finer needles. But it was hard to tell what the gauge of these needles would be. So for me, it’s not the right tools to finish the repair to my chair but maybe it’s better for needle felters.
