Not Horrible...
Pro's: It's a stainless tempered MM ruler.Cons:The packaging is horrible. It was all I could do not to bend the ruler trying to dislodge it from it's packaging. The slide is WAY TOO loose. It's nearly "fall off" loose. Wouldn't be so bad to tighten it down so it won't fall off, but the slide also has a ton of "side-to-side" play almost guaranteeing that you will never be able to use it effectively. When you try to "set it" it just ends up at an angle... wow. Worthless.Very flimsy - very thin.Weird "substance" on the rule. Nothing a good cleaning wont take care of, but seriously, I have to clean a ruler out of the package?I'm sure I can fix it up in the shop to make it worthwhile to have.. but be warned, you will need to do a little work on this to make it usable.

Very accurate but very difficult to read
The ruler graduations are very thin and light making this steel ruler exceptionally difficult to read if the available working light is not reflecting from the rule at the right angle. In practice this means you'll find yourself moving the workpiece and ruler all around trying to find that narrow angle so you can read the ruler. The graduations are almost invisible when the work light is not perfect. However, the very thin graduations do allow very accurate readings (compared to rules with overly thick graduations) in well lighted work settings.

Not what expected ...
The description talks about metric and imperial.Photo shows metric and imperial. In reality, the ruler is imperial only, although it has a conversion chart on the back.I needed a metric ruler (I already have an imperial one).So I didn't get what I needed. :-(Fortunately, it was cheap.
