Can you plug it into the wall or is it only battery powered?

It is powered by batteries, therefore can’t be plugged into the wall.

how clear is display when wall mounted? had a different one and display looked washed out and was completely unreadable when backlight on

Hi it’s nice and clear with or without the backlight but if viewed from an angle I.e. from above or below (don’t recall side to side) the image isn’t visible but if viewed more straight on its good - fairly poor viewing angle but otherwise decent kit for the money

Is the outdoor sensor 1) accuarte? and 2) is it waterproof?

I don't believe that the unit I received is accurate. I've got six thermometers in various parts of the house so I was able to gather them together and compare. Those six all agreed with each other but the YC9331 read just over 1°C lower than the others. The unit does seem to be reasonably weatherproof but I don't believe it is waterproof.
