It is on the expensive side yet if you want to give your furbaby the best ingredients and real food this is fantastic! My senior overweight chihuahua & senior Pitbull love this mixed in with their dry kibble. They have had a noticeable change for the better. No more stinky farts!!! Am so happy not to be gassed out of bed. Hair is softer, more active, both have lost some weight in just one month. Their breath smells better too. I’m very willing to spend extra for healthier happier dogs they are family & I love that it can be made fresh or refrigerated. One bag makes 20 pounds of food. Just add hot water cover it for 12 minutes & LaLa! Warm healthy yummy food. Smells good too! Definitely recommend

As a beagle owner i needed to write this review. My dog is prune to allergies- one month on the food - everything is cleared up- the dog still LOVES it…. Reading this other review from this other beagle owner below made me kinda sad!!!! My dog is 30 pound fat - small dog and was already OBESED so the feeding advice on the box is saying i should give her 1 -1 1/4 cup a day.- I have a 1/4 cup per serving and this alone turns into so much food that she is not wanting more food when she has half of a cup a day……. I ordered my bag on the 4.of october and its still half full. When you be able to empty a bag in 1 week or a beagle is 50 pound and 20 pound more than my already obesed dog- there is nothing wrong with the food but the owner

I really like that it is helping me to keep my boy in a much better shape.I am not sure how much weight he has lost in the past month but he is much slimmer than he was.He anxiously awaits me fixing his meals.He loves eating it and I feel good about feeding him this.I am now on my second bag of Dr. Harvey's Specialty Diet Healthy Weight Beef Recipe.

Dr. Harveys Healthy weight has all healthy ingredients you can actually pronounce. Meat is the first ingredient and the following ones are very healthy. My dog loves it, It's easy to prepare and she does great on it. The only drawback is the price at $70+ for a 5lb bag. The good news is it goes pretty far. I only use one bag for almost a whole month for my 50# border collie, so that makes the cost more doable. Also the fact that you add water means the dog is getting moisture in the diet which is more like their natural diet, as opposed to dried out kibble.

My two pups are big fans but it is a little more involved to feed them than I thought. I was thinking I would just sprinkle it on their food as an enhancer but instead it should be mixed with water. Not a big deal - just good to know.

It is very expensive and not a good value. My dog is a beagle and weighs 50lb. The bag lasted a week and a half. It cost $75.00 which means in 3 weeks I would have to spend $150 on this product. My dog was on it for one month and didn’t loose any weight. I do use Dr Harvey’s Canine Health on my other dog who has stage 3 kidney disease. It is a much better buy and I’m very happy with it

I don't know how to rate this product as Im pretty sure it is a great product but my dogs will not eat it. I can donate or toss, makes me sad.

This is a great way to keep your dogs weight in check! This is easy to use, just add the hot water and let it sit for at least 12 minutes. My dog loves it cause there are different size pieces and easy to chew!
