Better Wood Products Fatwood Firestarter Wooden Crate, 12-Pounds

I mainly ordered this for the box and it is great! Perfect size by the fireplace and not obnoxious like a ton of kindling. It only takes 2 - 3 sticks to start the fire so it should last us almost the whole season. Originally thought it was a bit over priced but the box is very good quality and will last us years. Would definitely recommend this for a rustic home fireplace addition.

Very nice display box, could be re-purposed once empty if you don't mind the brand name logo on it. The fatwood itself is very fresh smelling and lights up as expected or better. The pieces are fairly uniform in length, and vary slightly in thickness, which is good for being able to pick the right pieces for what you need. I will purchase again if the price is right.

Super nice wooden box. And yes they work great fast light.

I've been using fatwood for years in my wood stove and I've only had it fail me once (when it was very, very cold from being out in the shed). It's great stuff and smells wonderful. It's a "5 star" product, regardless of who you buy it from. I bought this particular item because of the box. It's a great quality item for the price. It's well made and looks good. It was shipped with styrofoam protectors within a cardboard box and arrived without any damage. So why 4 stars and not 5? The product is much darker than in the product photos (see customer photos - those are more accurate). Also, the product stain may not have dried for long enough before it was packed up for shipping and/or it was in the shipping box for a long time. The styrofoam is 'stuck' to the box and left visible marks on the box (and on the foam). I may be able to get the whiteish stain off with some elbow grease. Simultaneously, the box is somehow dusty/dirty and looks like it's been in an abandoned attic for years. It's still a great product (and value), but with some room for improvement.

Beautiful box for decorative storage!

Very satisfied

Shipping is timely, The Packaging is always done very well and arrives secured, as described when shown, the value is worth the purchase. Good purchase for me overall and will continue to buy.

I like the box that holds the product. This makes a nice addition for our fireplace area. The fatwood lites easily and starts a fire with no problem.
