Not the original 50/50. Don't be fooled. These feel terrible
Sadly American Apparel's signature 50/50 is officially no more. This fabric feels like some terribly Hanes tshirt you buy at Target. Also, the fit is insanely small.I have tons and tons of the 50/50s at home, all in Medium. These that I ordered are a joke.Sad times.

Fell apart after 1 wear
I was a loyal American Apparel fan back when they were first popular. These shirts do not live up to the standards they had in their golden days. The stitching at the bottom of the tees came undone after 1 wear. The material isn’t bad, and is comparable in quality to what I remember from the old days, but the workmanship in assembling the shirts is so poor, any amateur sewing enthusiast could likely spot the flaws. If I didn’t have the ability to re-stitch these tees back together, I would’ve just returned them. Not sure if these are bootleg or not, but I definitely will think twice before buying another new-school American Apparel product on amazon again.

pathetic quality, don't bother
Saw these 2-packs on a Black Friday deal for like $10 each and bought 3 colors. So that's $5 a shirt and they're not even worth that. Pass, don't waste your time or money, they're miserable quality, terrible stitching, look super cheap, and I don't expect them to last in the wash. Too good to be true, move along. The AmazonBasics mens tshirts are better value in my opinion.

If you get the old Made In USA stock, GREAT. If not, terrible.
First couple times I ordered, I was lucky enough to get old “Made in USA“ stock. A last two times I’ve received new stock, not made in USA...and it’s horrible. Fits way smaller, thinner, cheaper material, stitching is weak and falls apart. Why Gildan can’t create a shirt that is at least comparable in fit is beyond me. It’s a completely different shirt, sizing, quality, everything. You’re better off going with something more consistent that is true to size like Next Level.

These Are 100% Authentic, Great American Apparel T-Shirts!
Look, I don’t know why some of the other reviews claim these American Apparel 50/50 shirts either aren’t the real thing or aren’t the same original quality. I’ve been wearing American Apparel clothing for over 13yrs and these shirts are 100% legit/authentic and are absolutely the same soft, comfortable, long lasting high quality t-shirts....period. I’ve purchased 4 different colors so far and have been beyond stoked. I am 6ft 205lbs with athletic build and purchased these shirts in an XL and they fit perfect. Machine wash cold and dry on delicate/wool/super low and they will last forever.

Great shirt trash quality.
Love the tri-blend American Apparel shirts. Love that they give you two for the price, it’s a steal. However, the quality is crap. After a few washes, some of the threads are starting to come loose. Granted I wear one almost everyday as I purchased a bunch just to simplify my wardrobe. But I’m disappointed in the quality. I have AA shirts from 6 years ago that hold up better than these.

Great fit
Exactly as I remember. As a tall fairly slim person It’s hard to find T-shirts that are long enough but not wide. American Apparel shirts are the perfect fit, soft and comfortable.

White tees fit really nice, and are soft, but see through
6 foot, 185 lbs, athletic (powerlifter) build, XL fits perfectly.I got a couple of the white t-shirts, and everything is fine to me, except you can basically see my nipples through the shirt. Very thin, so don't order white if you're not trying to be showing off your skin.EDIT: wore them once and they both ripped. Changing my review to one star. These are terrible quality. Stitching is some of the worst I’ve ever seen

Quite transparent
This isn’t the usual American apparel tee I used to buy. I think it’s a cotton/polyester blend, and not 100% cotton. The fabric is very soft and it fits and feels amazing, but it is fairly see through!

Shirt fits great, but is wanting in quality
The material is quite soft on the skin. It fits nice and snug, the arms are a just past the mid bicep in length, and the torso is a little longer than the average T. The shoulders on the Medium fit a little more like a small, but everything else is well proportioned. Out of the two shirts I received, one of them had a 1.5" opening where a seam came apart on the top of the shoulder. This was disappointing as I had literally just opened the bag and hadn't even tried it on, but as these aren't pure AA products, I can be forgiving since the shirt proportions and fit mostly represent the AA of old.

Thinner than before
I owned this shirt previously from years ago and when these came their material was much thinner even though they were the same shirt. In these my nipples often poke through and my skin can be seen underneath. When layered this shirt is okay, but without anything to cover up, this shirt can be embarrassing.

I can't complain.
I came across these from Matt Morman's Obsessed Garage, since he uses these for his merch. Since I liked what I had already bought from him, I figured a few plain ones would be nice to stock up on. They're more of an aethletic cut, which I prefer anyhow and they do shrink a bit when washed.

Pack of 2
Good value for the price (I paid $8.80 for 2 shirts). These run a little on the small size, and are fairly low quality. I wouldn't expect them to last more than a handful of wears.
