FLAGTOP 5 in 1 USB C Hub. You lose some, you get some.
If you are looking into adding USB type A, microSD/SD card and HDMI to a MacBook Pro (in a small package)…while losing a USB type-C port then the FLAGTOP 5 in 1 USB C Hub does the job.The device works as expected, so you could have a USB type A, SD card, USB type-C, and HDMI at once without issues.I connected a LG OLED TV and it worked fine at 4K and if the text is too small you could configure it to show them larger. You could charged the MacBook Pro thru the FLAGTOP 5 in 1 USB C Hub...useful if you are presenting in a large screen or projector while the hub is blocking the USB type-C ports on the MacBook Pro.I liked the little printed detail on the unit, showing the orientation of both MicroSD and SD card...so I won't break it trying to push it in the wrong direction.I have the device for several weeks and it works as good as the first time. The metal construction, makes the device sturdy. It close matches the color of a MacBook Pro Silver. It is thicker than the MacBook Pro and stick outs of the back when connected. I cannot overlook that, when similar priced devices have been constructed to blend a bit better. It you would like to match a Space Gray MacBook Pro unit, look somewhere else.Even thought it has a small footprint, if the ports were arranged better, an additional USB port could have been squeezed in...especially since I losing a Type-C USB port.I received this device free of charge. I providing my personal opinion after several weeks using it and comparing it, to similar priced units I have used.

Perfect but Must be used without a Case
I have a MacBook Air 13 inch. This would fit it but without a case. I have a hard cover top and bottom. I have to remove both for this to fit. however, once it's on its definitely effective. it feel high quality snd gets the job done. But if you aren't looking to remove your cases for it to fit, you may want to opt for more of a dongle than an adaptor.

Decent Hub
This hub works well with my MacBook Pro.Pros:- Slim- Additional Ports if you don't have themCons:- Lose 1 USB-C port- Can only use one card slot at a time- May not need some of those additional portsWhat can I say, this hub looked really cool at first glance. However, there are trade offs.First, the ports you get when you plug in this hub.1x USB 3.0(A) port1x USB 3.1(C) port1x 4K HDMI port1x SD Card port1x MicroSD Card portTrade off is that you need two USB 3.1(C) ports to plug it in. So in reality you are losing 1 USB 3.1(C) port.Which is effectively the most important port on my laptop. Also along with that you can only use one of the card ports at a time. So you really gain 4 ports at a time for the cost of 2 MacBook Pro ports. Not certain the trade off is worth the hub. While I use card ports quite often. I can you one of my USB-A ports to dongle the card reader. So the only thing I am really getting with this hub is a 4K HDMI port. Which is will say works without any issues. While this hub may be useful to others .. it is not something that I can use as the trade offs are too high for my needs.

Piece of junk!
This item sucks! I’ve tried it several times on my Mac computer and it doesn’t do anything. Good thing I had a back up. I literally was getting ready to do a podcast. I would not recommend this to anyone, if I can give it zero stars I would.

Useful adapter
Got this to use it on a Macbook pro and overall it did work very well. The size is good, although a bit thick; it slots nicely though, so if you keep your laptop on the desk, that will be just fine.As far as connectivity; everything seems fine; HDMI out works without problems, but you may want to check your monitor. At home I have 3 monitors and one Asus did refuse to lock on the signal of this adapter, flickering on and off constantly. The other 2 monitor did work just fine.Suggested if you need a compact adapter

Neat little tool
My boyfriend needed this for his MacBook. He loves it cuz now he doesn't have to consider a different brand laptop now. You can't really see this in my pictures very clearly, but this little tool labels all the ports it gives: 4K (I think this is HDMI), USB 3.0 (regular USB), USB 3.1 (USB-C), Micro SD, and SD. That's pretty handy, I think. It's a small and compact tool, easily stowed in a laptop bag or purse. It works very well too.The only thing my boyfriend and I would want to add to it is a port to convert the lightning cable because a bunch of Apple stuff (like earphones and old chargers) use the lightning cable. I considered giving this product 4 stars but my boyfriend likes how good it works so he pushed to make this review 5 stars.

This reduces your available USB-C ports by one
The use case for this hub is getting more narrow by the day. 'Twas a time that we all had standard USB connections (aka USB-A)—you know, the kind that is wide on one side, had to be plugged in a certain way, and had the connection to your peripheral or device on the other side. Some had Micro USB, some had Mini, others had lightning ports, and even others had more. USB-C changed the paradigm, and are becoming more and more prevalent as we speak. This hub hearkens back to those (simpler?) times. When you plug it in to your MacBook Pro, you gain a USB 3.0 port (the blue one), an 4K HDMI port, as well as both a micro SD and standard SD port. Which is fine. Good, even. But this hub takes up two USB-C ports. Which means that on my 13" MBP, it takes up *all* of my ports. So although I gain all the aforementioned ports, I actually lose a USB-C when it's plugged into power. I cannot overstate how silly this is. Why use up two? So frustrating. It's metal. It doesn't match the MacBook Pro in color. It's light and feels cheap. It's the definition of a 3 star product.
