Kranchungel Underbust Corset Top for Women Renaissance Pirate Costume

I absolutely love these corsets, I’ve bought numerous colors from this brand and others on Amazon that are exactly the same but sold under other sellers. Are these the highest quality corsets out there? No, they definitely don’t compare to the ones you’d find at a Ren Faire that cost $200+ but I wasn’t expecting that. Is this going to achieve a ton of cinching? Probably not, the rods aren’t some crazy thick material to do that. However these are way more comfortable to wear for long periods; I do have a corset that has heavy fiber glass rods that I got from the Ren Faire and I can’t handle wearing it for more than an hour or so (to be fair I am thin, about 100lbs with a 24” waist and so those rods hurt my ribs so so so bad) but these I can wear for 7+ hours and barely feel any discomfort on my ribs. This was my first year dressing up for Ren Faire so I didn’t want to invest in some crazy pricey corset (the one I do have was a gift) until I knew if I liked them. I quickly discovered that corsets, for me, are used primarily to hold up skirts and disguise waist bands and that I do not like anything with a super firm cinching of the waist because I like to walk and move around and dance all day; when my husband and I go to Ren Faire we can easily walk 13+ miles because we just like to move around and see everything and everyone and these allow me to still breathe and have mobility in the waist. I wore one color pretty much all season in a hot dusty environment with a belt worn over it and it still looked good after 9 weeks of wearing all weekend. I’d probably purchase a new one for next year because I have no idea how I’d wash it up to remove dust and for the price I can discard it and not feel like it was a waste. So I’d highly recommend these, especially for anyone who doesn’t want/need some crazy sucking in (these did smooth my figure out and disguise any bloating with hormonal shifts so I appreciated that) but wants to elevate a costume or outfit! The XS size worked best for me, I had it almost as tight as it could go but I could make a size S work by cinching it to the point of almost overlapping but it didn’t quite have the same hold near the bottom of my waist.

Love this corset!! I did have to return once to get a smaller size but the exchange process was a snap & showed up 2 days later. It would be perfect for waist training. It's easy to put on and easy to tighten. The snaps are a little iffy as far as longevity but just don't rip on it and be patient with them while putting it on. It was easy for me but I also had my husband help so i don't know how easy it would be putting it on alone lol It's very comfortable coming from someone who hardle ever wears them! My pumpkin head 🎃 photos came out amazing and I felt very sexy in it!! I believe I ordered the equivalent of an XXXL and I'm 5'7 200 lbs! DEFINITELY ORDER A SIZE IF NOT SIZESSS UP!!! IT DOES NOT STRETCH & THEY ARE MADE SMALL!!! I'm normally an XL in regular clothing! The material is amazing & it's made well. I'm not 100% sure on longevity since I've only worn it once. It'll last a while for me as I'll only wear for special pics. Just buy it! Worth the money. 10/10 would recommend!

Pretty good quality. The back loosens so you losen it up while you do the front part. I was going to use it for my halloween costume so make my wait small which it did pretty well I just think it made me look like a rectangle from the side. The corset has a good structure so i should’ve thought it would do that. Also be ware when you put it on and tighten it, it’s hard to bend over/sit down so if you want to be very movable I say go without a corset. Overall it’s nice but not my thing so I will return it but it’s a solid pick.

I’ve worn corsets off and on for the last 15 years, but needed a new one on a budget for GalaxyCon. I wasn’t in a position to spend $300 on a steel boned leather corset to replace mine that has seen better days, so I took a chance on this affordable option. I’m so glad I did! This thing is the bees knees. First, it fit. I wear an XL in shirts, and ordered a 6x based off the size chart, but could have gone down to a 5x easily. Second, it withstood a ton of abuse. I probably put this on and took it off 100 times in about a week while tweaking my outfit for convention. The fasteners have remained strong, and even bending and moving in this thing for 2 days didn’t affect the boning at all. Third, it’s just attractive. It’s simple, but to me that just means it’s versatile. I’ve worn it with jeans and gotten compliments. Last, and definitely not least, it’s comfortable. My usual complaint with corsets is that they’re traditional stiff corsets with no give. This one is supportive in the right ways, posture, back support, waist definition, without being constricting. I was able to move, and most importantly SIT without cutting off my ability to breathe.

As a lot of Renaissance Faire workers and playtrons know, these are a wonderful deal for the price. However, they cannot stand up to a season of use. Now, let me say that this purple is a gorgeous shade - not quite the royal purple. It will accent that color if royalty is your thing, but it also goes well with plum shades for the merchants or pirates among us! Anyway, two cautions. First, it may be a bit longer or shorter than indicated. I've gone through 5 and they vary by as much as 2 inches in length, and that will definitely have an impact on fit, and therefore on how long it lasts. Second, beware of cinching it too tightly. If you can lace it so that there's an inch or less between the rows of grommets, you need a smaller size. Otherwise, if you're going for a smaller waist, lacing too tightly will kill the stays in no time. My first one broke a stay on the first day I wore it and I ended up with the predictable bruise on my rib. Now, all that aside, if you want a very nice-looking accessory item for a night out or a special event or maybe to add to your Faire garb, I'd highly recommend this. Again, not for regular wear, but if it's a once-a-year kind of thing and you're reasonably cautious, it'll be fine and you'll look amazing!

I am 5'8" 196lbs. I ordered an XL & had to loosen the ribbon all the way for it to fit so listen to other reviewers when they say it fits small. If you are getting this last minute, size up! Other than that, I love the structure and the fit and there is fabric behind the ribbon to cover your back when you loosen it. If I had to loosen it just a little bit more though, the fabric wouldn't cover me, so I got lucky. Also, I've worn it twice to the club and danced all night and it's held up very well.

I bought this for a Renaissance festival and it was exactly what I needed. The lace-up back makes it very easy to adjust the fit to your specific waist size, and the boning provides a great silhouette without being too restrictive or uncomfortable. The fabric has a nice weight to it, and it definitely doesn't look like a 'cheap' costume piece. I received so many compliments on it! Just make sure to follow the size chart closely.

I’m disappointed with the colour. I was expecting a darker wine red corset, and it is very bright red. Not what I was going for or what was advertised. Also wish I ordered an xs instead of an s. The shape of the corset is also different than on the product photos

I ordered based on the size chart but actual item is 2-3 times bigger. Shipping for return os same as price of item so no point for return.
