Why will this lip pencil not advance from the tube this is the second one I have received and still can not use it

The one I use has to be sharpened.

I use a regular make up sharpener as well. I do find that this pencil needs sharpening more often than most. But I just love the lip liner so much that I am going to keep ordering!

Does the lip prime have color or is it clear?

It has rich, creamy matte color. I get lots of compliments when I wear it.
