PlanToys® Solid Drum Wooden Musical Toy for Toddlers, Kids Pretend Play

The size of this drum is ideal for a 1 yr old. The sound also is very nice. Won’t drive parents crazy.

I purchased this drum for my 3 1/2 year old, but it is almost as much fun for my 9 month old. The odd looking cuts on the surface create different musical tones when the drum is hit. It is not too loud, even with heavy pounding. The drum has rubber feet so it doesn't skid off the table. We LOVE plan toys in general, and this is an excellent example of their quality and craftsmanship. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

I found this drum after hunting for a solid musical toy for my son that could stand up to some heavy use and be a quality product. Plan Toys delivered! I've had as much fun playing it as my son. The different tones are excellent, and it is about as sturdy as it can be. If I had to find a con, I wish the middle tone area had a support under it like the other two do. I understand why it doesn't musically but that creates the only potential point of failure. Even with that said, it would take some heavy use/abuse to break anything. Great sound, well-built, looks good, and safe... a perfect toy!

Bought this for my son's first birthday, and the three older kids are anxiously awaiting it becoming communal property. The mallet is just right for little hands, solid enough to be grasped easily, but not so chunky it slides out of his grip. The drum tone is nicely tolerable and not too loud. If you're looking for something tuned, this isn't the instrument for you...no "Mary Had A Little Lamb"...but the tones are melodic and have a nice resonance. The drum hasn't been subjected to a lot of kid abuse, yet, but it feels solid, and I gave it some healthy taps when it arrived. I don't see my crew managing to inflict any damage short of a deliberate attempt to break it with extreme measures. ETA: five years later, drum is still going strong despite hard use by five kids.

This little drum is a welcome addition for any 15 month old child and older. It has lovely and pleasant sounds when the mallet hits the different areas of the drum, which made our little guy thrilled. The drum is wooden with no sharp edges. This was a wonderful gift

My toddler loves this. Do wish it had two drum sticks. I thought the sound would be a little better but it is fine. The size is perfect for little hands. Seems to be well made. I would up it again.

My grand daughter loves her drum, it is very sturdy and well worth the price, it comes in a very nice sturdy box. It is very well made and has a very nice sound, there are three different sounds depending on where you hit on it and so that makes it fun to play with, when I got it I had to try it out and had a hard time putting it back in the box to wrap cause I wanted to keep playing with it LOL!

I absolutely love this drum and would buy it again in a heart beat. It's made completely of wood with three little rubber feet on the bottom. There are three tones you can hit on various parts, which really do sound lovely, especially since it's not super loud. It's clearly sturdy as there have been no problems with it occasionally being tossed off the couch. Unfortunately, it seems that my husband and I have more fun playing with it than the toddler. She mostly uses it as something to stand on (and sometimes as a step stool) or occasionally chews in the rubber feet or the mallet head when she's teething. I'm hoping that at some point she'll grow into wanting to play with it more than just a few bangs (and outgrow the step stool phase). If not, I'll still have fun playing with it!

I bought this beautiful drum as a Christmas present for my Grandson who is 15 months old. He loves making sounds and I know he will love it.

Excelente compra mi bebe esta encantado, muy buena calidad y acabados perfectos. un sonido excelente con diversos tonos diferentes. Teniendo en cuenta que su sonido no es nada estridente y no le aburrirá ni pondrá de los nervios. Tal vez con otra baqueta más tendría más juego. Estamos muy sorprendidos por el acierto en esta compra. 5 estrellas sin duda.
