My first experience with boxer briefs is a pleasant surprise
I had major abdominal surgery more than 20 years ago and have been wearing boxers ever since thinking I needed the looser fit they provided to accommodate my ostomy appliance. Like many men my age (I'm 80) I've started to experience some episodes of urinary insecurity not related to my surgery where I leak and dribble to put it bluntly. Pads like those made by Depend would address that problem but they aren't made for boxers so I thought, "The worst thing that can happen is I spend 15 bucks and find that I can't wear them because they compress my ostomy pouch and I've wasted 15 bucks. Well, that didn't happen. There was absolutely no problem whatsoever. They fit fine over pouch and all. and are, in fact, extremely comfortable. Not only that, they are so absorbent that I have yet to use the sample pads Depend sent me.
