Great product, but read listing carefully
I teach part-time at a state college, and my old HP laptop was having issues, so I found this one on Amazon and I was drawn to it for a couple of reasons... A TB of storage, and a lifetime subscription to Microsoft products. Here is the "read the listing carefully" part.... 500 GB is on the internal storage and 500 GB is on an external drive. I mis-read the listing (my fault) thinking it was 1TB internal SSD and 500 GB external. That's on me but it had me confused when the product arrived because there was not an external drive, and also no MS license activation key, so I thought they had shipped me the wrong device. The seller was very responsive... they sent me the MS license key, and also told me the external drive would be shipped to me separately (it did take a couple of weeks for it to come after I had received the laptop). So, the only feedback I provided was to make things clearer about the external drive being shipped separately, and that the seller would be sending the MS license key (and how it will be sent). Otherwise, I am happy with the product and the response by the seller.

This is a used computer that has been modified by a 3rd party company.
I bought this computer during prime day July 2024. After I got it I looked up the serial number on HP's site and it said the warranty had been registered in September 2023 and there was only 2 months left on the warranty. Further investigation found that the computer had been modified from the original laptop HP made. Both the Hard drive and memory were upgraded by some 3rd party company. HP also states they do not provide full lifetime licenses for Microsoft Office. There was a QR code to scan to check on the MS office license and the external HDD. The link went to a site for WOWPC (3rd party company). If you look them up they have many complaints. Including replacing hardware with lower quality parts that HP won't support if you try to get support from HP.I sent my PC back the next day. I actually feel kind of lucky that I was able to get my money back. While waiting for my refund I noticed the seller of this laptop changed multiple times. This is very sketchy and I would warn everyone to not buy this laptop. If you do buy this laptop you should do the following:1. Make sure the serial number on the box matches the one on the laptop itself.2. Before powering it on go to HP's website and search up the serial number to get the actual specs of the laptop and the warranty status. If the warranty has already been registered that means you laptop is used and not a new PC. If the specs on HP's site doesn't match what you received then that means hardware has been replaced and not by HP and HP most likely won't support it if you need to send it in for repair.

Lightweight, good design, easy to use, BUT . . .
If you are looking for an easy to use, cost effective laptop with a few nice touches (touch screen is awesome, screen images are crisp and clean, keyboard with numeric 10 key) you will appreciate this laptop. I am very satisfied with my purchase.Update: I spoke too soon. After 6 1/2 months, the hard drive crashed and the BSCOD showed up uninvited. It performed perfectly until then and POOF! Am still in the 1 year warranty period, but seeing as my attempt to register the product on HP website was unsuccessful, “did not recognize the PN or SN, I am not hopeful. Exercise caution with this one. Has been a big disappointment.

Good value but lacks vibrancy
I'm happy with the purchase overall. Speed and reaction time is good. The touch screen works great, very reactive. My only issue is the video. It's on the "dull" side. Little greyed out and not very vibrant. Next time I purchase a laptop, I'll pay more attention to this.

Excellent laptop and value
Purchased the computer on Prime day. Value was unbeatable from vendor Halandy. Computer came 2 weeks later than originally promised. Amazing was offering a refund at the brink when the vendor finally shipped. Computer arrived in good shape. Very light and exactly as advertised. Transfer of files and settings from prior laptop shockingly easy and fast. Touchscreen and TouchPad are excellent if a bit sensitive. So, Computer is great, vendor is very sketchy. They actually seem to have no physical location. Just an online presence which I will always be avoiding in the future.

Please Read before buying
Well, i bought this computer and was super excited, When we got it in it seemed to be what we were looking for. After about three days it started to lock up until we restarted it. we reached out to HP for help and found out that it was out of warrantee for two years. which means the computer was at least three years old. I went back and looked just to make sure i did not miss anything on the advertising and no where does it say that it was not new. We reached out by phone to the seller and they did not pick up, so we tried to email. They did respond the next day and said to do a factory reset, we did try that and after a day or so it would no longer start, we got what I call a death loop. I took it to a local shop to get it wiped so we could return the laptop, and they could not find a operational drive. and said they would have to open it up and see what could be done for 200.00. We are returning the computer, but it was a horrible experience. Please be aware that you may be buying a old computer that has been "upgraded" only to find out that it is a crap shoot. The one thing I forgot to mention was that we never got the external 500mg drive, which is suppose to be shipped separately according to the documents.

The computer meets the need but the seller is garbage!
As far as HP computers go, it fits my wife's needs and was a great update to her previous HP Pavillion she has had for nine years. HP is a trusted brand and the Windows 11 came installed. The computer is as fast as advertised and boons plenty of storage but know that if you are looking for a gaming machine, this isn't it. This is good for advance office functions, data collection and lightweight for an on-the-go user and docks well. The seller, responds with auto-replies and repeated messages. After a month, I still haven't received the external hard drive that was promised with the bundle on Prime Day. Great machine and garbage seller.
