... on a couple of gravel rides and it is excellent. Im running it tub
I have used the tire on a couple of gravel rides and it is excellent. Im running it tub,Es and have ridden gravel st 30-35 psi. Mounting was VERY difficult on Stans Iron Cross Wheels. The bead set up easily with a floor pump. The tires did not hold air at first even with sealant. After one ride the sealant costed the inside of the tire and the tire now holds pressure. Grip is excellent and ride quality is great on gravel. I've ridden the tire in the mud and it easily shed mud.

Surprisingly good tire
Once I got it mounted, it is a great tire. I bought it as a last minute front tire replacement for use in a multi surface (road, gravel, singletrack) event. It went on my cross bike, not tubeless. It's light, grippy, fast, and durable. I hit a nasty exposed rock at like 20mph so hard I assumed it flatted but no, it handled it like a champ. This is the non sidewall support version BTW. I would have given it 5 stars but it was difficult to get mounted to the rim without levers.

Great gravel and MTB tires
Love these tires, very low rolling resistance, excellent cornering; perfect for my Cannondale gravel bike

This set of WTB Nano 40c set up reasonably easily despite very tight bead diameter
They leak air. I have long experience with tubeless systems and ride them on my MTB, CX, and one road bike. This set of WTB Nano 40c set up reasonably easily despite very tight bead diameter. I added sealant and inflated them, administering the shake technique to distribute the 2 ounces of sealant I added to each tire. I saw no evidence of sealant leaking at all. Despite no evidence of leaking, the tires lose air at a rapid pace, going from 50 psi to about 20 psi in just several hours. I tried numerous fixes and nothing worked. They just leak air. After the fact, I searched the web for evidence of others having the same problem, and sure enough, lots of people have and no one seems able to figure out how to fix it. My guess is that the tubeless casing WTB uses is not really air tight, though not porous enough to show sealant leaking. In any case, I will switch to Maxxis Ravagers instead and hope that the reliable Maxxis casing from their excellent MTB tires is included in those.

Great tire for mixing it up, easy tubeless setup
These tires are awesome for mixed terrain (gravel, pavement, singletrack, mud, and dirt) riding. The set up tubeless easily on my Velocity A23 rims. At 45 psi, the ride on gravel is downright cushy - I cruise right over stuff that would have bounced me off the bike on my previous tube setup. Traction on dirt and loose stuff is also excellent, but the tire rolls surprisingly well on pavement. Other than a little bit of buzz, it does not roll any worse than a 40c file tread tire. I've been very happy with these for mixed-terrain riding, and the tubeless conversion totally changed the character of my bike.

Tubeless
So far I have put 80 miles on these tires. They are matched up with WTB Frequency team rims on a Salsa Warbird. The tubeless setup is really good and the bead is super strong. Holds air well and rides good under low pressure. This tire rolls fast and projects a sense of security on dirt turns and braking.

Leaks
I'm running them tubeless. They were very challenging to install, and they don't hold a seal. They are also slow on flat and dry surfaces. I do not recommend.

Great tire, but I got a bad one
This tire is really tough to get on and off the rim with the tight diameter tolerances that come with being tubeless compatible. I've heard that through other reviewers as well. But it seems to be easy to seat the bead too, so once you get it on, its probably clear sailing at that point. Mine showed up today. Noticed this feels like a pretty stout tire compared to other superlight offerings out there, but that's reassuring to me, knowing I'm gonna be abusing it on both single track and chunky gravel. Worked pretty hard to get it mounted with a tube just to test fit (on my easton EA70 sl wheelset), and wouldn't you know, the tread wanders! Somehow during manufacturing, the center of the tread rotates about 5 to 10 degrees or so away from the center of the tire for about an 8th of the tire's diameter. So when you spin it, there's a horrible wobble. And trust me, I made sure I didn't have a bead not seated properly or something like that. I should have snapped a pic, cause it was evident just looking at it, without even spinning it. I then deflated it and measured the distance from the bead to the edge of the tread on each side of the tire and sure enough, it is a few millimeters less on one side in the part of the tire that wobbles. Disappointing, I have to send it back. Haven't seen anyone else have this issue in all my online searching, so I have to guess its a fluke or something. Might take my chances and buy another...
