The umbrella lights are surprisingly helpful—ironically, they are actual umbrellas. Be careful with the umbrellas; their rod sticks out at eye-level height.The square lights are incredibly bright.Each light is easy to assemble. My middle schooler put them together when we first purchased them without issue. Now, as a high schooler, he efficiently sets up and tears down the lights for school filming projects and movie contests. The included cases are well-designed for space efficiency, and the light bulbs come in protective boxes (which we recommend keeping).The only drawback is that the cords are shorter than we’d like, which can create a tripping hazard if not taped down. The lights work well in a standard bedroom-sized room, but they become less effective for larger spaces.We haven’t used the screens, as the camera's field of view extends beyond their size. Instead, we found it more efficient to paint a wall green. If someone were to do a photoshoot of a small object, not a person, then the screen would work great. It did not fit our needs.Since we frequently engage in online interactions, these lights help create a more professional appearance on camera.We want to upgrade one day, but this works for now.

I was skeptical (despite good reviews) about this purchase when it first arrived. Having set it up and using it, I can say that it's a great piece of kit! The only draw back were the included lights, but that's not a big deal. They include 4 CFL light bulbs that tend to washout the subject (even with a diffuser). So I simply replaced them with color changing LED lights and haven't looked back. I can color-grade my subjects (to a degree!) before filming or photographing them to help save time in post-production and editing. It's amazing what color changing lighting can provide without the need for color gels/diffusers!This is such an impressive kit for the price, it's full of the necessities required for properly lighting and filming/photographing your subjects indoors. It comes with two separate bags. One bag is for the backdrop mounts, the poles required for hanging the backgrounds, and tripods to mount the backgrounds to. The second bag is for your background cloths (included are: black, white, green), tripods for the softbox lights, two softbox lights, two umbrella lights and mounting clamps, 4 CFL light bulbs, and 8 clamps for the backdrops. Impressive and it's massively easy to coordinate set up with another person, or to set it up alone.Let me be clear, it's not a $3000 set up, so don't fool yourself into thinking it will perform as such. However, the price for this kit is well worth it and it is something that help your videos or pictures "pop" that much more. For a beginner, this is a perfect gateway into photography and filming and it will make a difference in what you're filming or photographing. Easily 5 stars and I highly recommend it for others.
