Kodiak Furniture Monterey Queen Futon Set in Espresso Finish, Suede Black

The high-quality mattress makes this futon so comfortable to sleep on when it is opened as a queen-size bed, but also comfortable to curl up on when set up as a couch. I love this futon so much that I bought a second one in a different color for another room. I purchased the gray and the blue... beautiful colors, rich looking and sturdy furniture. The only negative thing is that you really need two people to change from a bed to a sofa. Not an issue for me as there is usually someone around, but if you live alone, that might be a deal-breaker for you. Part of the reason is that the mattress is thick and high quality so it makes it heavier when returning to sitting position. Overall, highly recommend this futon.

This thing was a pain to build, fair warning don’t build this thing alone because it’s a struggle. Nonetheless it is doable just know it will take some time and the mattress is super heavy. Moving on, this futton is very nice it feels like very good quality and the mattress feels pretty comfortable. I had an issue with the mattress so I messaged the seller and they answered right away and got my issues resolved, very amazing customer service as well. Recommend!

The Futon is Geat! I haven’t had one for a long time, comfortable, took me about 2 hrs to set everything up. I gave this 4 stars because after setup, and if you leave the hybrid mattress laying down, it’s extremely difficult to put in the upright position, I have to force it to go up so not to find about that. I can also feel the springs in certain spots. The feel and craftsman ship of the wood is Great. I would purchase again but I would choose a typical mattress that does not have springs. Wonderful Futon. Love the way the parts are color coded. BUT the biggest and best assembly instructions ever are...Go to youtube video to watch assembly..no More squinting to read the sometimes-too fine print.

I bought this for my teenager who wanted a futon for his bed, so he can also use it as a couch. I was hesitant to buy one because they can be awfully pricey, I also dreaded having to put it together. It arrived quickly, in 3 packages. The instructions book is a bit of a joke. It’s mainly just pictures with very little written direction. HOWEVER, they do include a link to an actual video of someone putting the futon together step by step. Which I found extremely helpful. It would be difficult to put together by yourself, especially the final 3 steps. But not impossible. It took me and my teenager 4 hours to put together, it would of been less time, but I mixed up the screws and got stuck on one of the final steps by not using the correct screws and had to re do it. The mattress is thicker than I thought it would be, it’s also heavy. The frame, is very supportive and sturdy. (My kid is 6’ and 290, the queen futon fits him well and it supports him as well) I highly recommend this futon based on price (cheapest I’ve found) easy assembly (if you don’t mix up the screws) sturdiness and it looks great in the space.

The greatest difficulty with this quality made futon is changing it from a sleeping position to a seated position. The mattress is so thick and comfortable and slightly heavy that it takes two to change the position. The instructions and hardware was organized well. Is perfect for my extra bedroom that serves varied functions.

If it wasn’t for the video, assembling this would be way harder. The only hard part was getting the frame inside both arms at the end. The mattress is ok but very comfortable if you add a mattress topper. Shipping was terrible. I had to call fed ex multiple times to see where my package was. At first I only received one package. It took much longer than expected to receive the rest. But that has nothing to do with the shipper, it’s all on fed ex. At the end, satisfied with my purchase.

Loved this futon, while the assembly can be a bit difficult if your doing it by yourself you can definitely tell it was designed to take a bit of beating and is very sturdy. The mattress itself is pretty comfortable as well.
