We have been using this brand of fresh vanilla beans for years to make our own vanilla extracts for both home use and general baking. While I have tried other brands, nothing has ever beaten this brand's freshness, and I have recommended them to just about anyone who will listen. All of their beans are shipped vacuum-sealed to prevent moisture issues or moldiness. Not only are they the best quality I have found on the market but are a fantastic value for making your own DIY Vanilla extract with your preferred brand of vodka.

We usually make our own vanilla at home so we bought this Christmas pack of Grey Goose (which is a huge bottle) but we mainly wanted the glasses that came with it. So I bought this vanilla and added it to the liquor and now I have a great tasting vanilla to use for baking and frostings. You do not have to buy any expensive vodka but you do need to get good vanilla sticks like these. It is easy to do and is by far a better quality than you could ever buy in the store for vanilla. However some recipes tell you to do bourbon, no, do not use it because it never really gets to be a nice tasting vanilla like using the vodka. But this quality of vanilla really made the most awesome cooking, baking vanilla. YUM!

The pods arrived vacuum sealed and pliable. These were not as long as other brands I have used in the past but in greater quantity for a more reasonable price. I was satisfied with the quality and freshness.

I'm using these for homemade yogurt. Three beans scraped into 2 quarts of milk imparts a very nice aroma and flavor to the finished product. Yogurt is powered by microbes so I try to avoid anything that would kill our little Lactobacillus friends, like alcohol-heavy extracts. I'll be ordering again.

There were the correct count in the bag and clearly grade a. Nice appearance, albeit a little thinner than I anticipated. Have to wait 6mo for flavor but it did have nice aromatics… floral w fruity character. Expect it to be fine. Would buy again.
