Album of Horses

My first breed horse book when I was 10 years old. I'm now 78 and its still my favorite.

Every horse loving kid should get this book as a gift. Beautifully written and illustrated. I still have my hard-bound copy 50 years from when my cousin gave me hers.

I had this exact book as a child, back in the early 70's. I devoured all of Marguerite Henry's books repeatedly back then, and anytime I see the artwork from the covers of 'King of the Wind' and this book, I feel like I'm looking at pictures of old friends. Thanks to reading and re-reading Ms. Henry's books in my youth, I have always had a special spot for Arabian horses. The big, fancy barn where I work and board my horse actually has a grey Arab gelding who looks like the one on the cover of this book. Seeing him every day made me want to own this book again and I was thrilled to find it still in print. I'm 52 years old now and I still have horse-fever, thanks to authors like Marguerite Henry, Jean Slaughter Doty, CW Anderson, and Mary O'Hara. I love the trip down memory lane that this book invokes!

I read it 60-odd years ago and loved it. When it popped up on my recommendations on Amazon I knew a 70 year old could have a child's book and enjoy it all over again. Marguerite Henry's winning writing style was a joy to relive! All of her books are classics.

I had this book as a child so bought one for friends daughter. This one is a smaller size and it has parts of the large color plates truncated. If I didn’t have an older version of the book I don’t know if it would be that noticeable

In better shape than I expected for "acceptable" condition! Looked just the slightest bit used. Very happy, and now I have another of my favorite childhood books to add to my collection! Great seller! Shipped quickly.

Excellent recreational reading.

I was so happy to find this book of my childhood by my favorite author and artist.I did remember it as being larger but it may be that I’M larger!

My son was interested in learning about Shire horses and this has some really interesting things in it, written in an engaging way. He's been fascinated with all the horses and has learnt lots, it's beautifully laid out and the pictures really compliment the text.Awesome books as a seller; the book arrived in great condition as described and came in good time.
