These tires are Asymmetrical, while they have an inside/outside, they can be mounted on both sides. It does seem unusual but it is the proper way to mount them.

I need 245 40 ZR 18 i see them in description but when i put in cart they say 245 40 R 18 ???

The R and ZR is exactly is the same thing as long as the Speed Rating matches High Performance tires.

what XL means i dont see that on other tires ?
