These look great with the kiln finish. They match a sugar & cream set I picked up. Now looking for the perfect 6 cup matching kettle. The only downside is when the tea is HOT these are too HOT to hold. Well, how does one handle that? I looked around on line and found traditional Japanese wisdom - if it's too HOT to hold, it's too HOT to drink. I really don't go along with that but I'm sure I don't want cast iron cups of hot tea. I like these. I do use one frequently for my daily tea. They look great on the bamboo tray with the tea service.

They're at least as beautiful in person, and the perfect size for tea. I bought them because I wanted smaller tea cups instead of using coffee mugs, and when I saw these, I decided they were perfect. They have a lovely ceramic glaze finish, making them smooth and absolutely lovely. Mine came with two that are distinctly different colors, and two that are similar, but different. I would have preferred 4 distinct colors instead of 3 with a near-duplicate as the 4th, but that's okay for my use. They're small -- which is what I wanted, so my tea doesn't get cold. That means when pouring, you should pay attention to what you're doing, because they'll fill quickly. They're about the same size as you might encounter in an Asian restaurant.

I love these teacups. I bought them to replace some cast iron ones that were practically unusable because they got so hot, but for the price I did not expect these to be so pretty or well constructed. They look exactly like they do in the picture which is rare, just as shiny for one thing. They're really heavy and feel like good quality, and came in a nice looking box w/ handles that would be nice for gifting. They're also the perfect size (I worried they would be too big, I wanted the smaller traditional little teacups) they fit perfectly in your hand. I will say they still get pretty hot BUT they have much thicker ceramic toward the top so I just fill them up like 2/3 full and it's generally fine.

They're beautiful little ceramic cups for a good price, can't find too much to complain about! I mostly use these for yerba mate, since they're much easier to clean than the traditional gourds. That said, I'm taking one star away because they come with this little piece of paper that makes all these BS pseudo-science claims about their special health benefits and stuff. You want to get on my bad side real quick, start spouting a bunch of over-the-top claims with no evidence. Can't a little cup just be a little cup? Isn't that good enough? In summary: Good: Holds liquid, and looks good doing it. Bad: Please stop telling me a cup will solve all of my health problems. It's a cup.

Received these teacups yesterday (fast and efficient delivery). I love them. Good quality, retain heat and, best of all, fit so comfortably in my hand.

First, they take great care in packaging to make sure these items get to you safely. Then, there's the quality. Each one unique, yet the quality is consistent. Thick enough so I don't feel like I will break them, with just enough weight. Beautiful pieces!
