Easy to assemble and stow, makes easy adjustments & precision cuts. Best this DIY'er has ever used
Although some online videos reviewing this saw recommended the saw blade be replaced immediately, saying it was dull, etc. I gave it a try anyway, since I already had a spare saw blade left over from a no-name saw we'd used for 12 years or so. But it has worked flawlessly to help us rebuild a wooden shed, complete some household repairs, and cut some 2x4s for garden use. When the blade stops cutting so well I'll change it, but the saw still does fine. Best of all? The gate is easy to precisely adjust and stay in-place so cuts come out even, correct, and exactly as expected. The safety items, pawl, etc. are all included and will stow beneath the cutting table when not needed. The pleasing part? The pieces fold and stow easily and compactly, taking up far less room than our older saw, even though it works better than the old one ever did.

Impressive and versatile for a novice woodworker :-)
The resolution to my woodworking hobby! A table saw is sooooooo versatile. The reason I bought the Skil table saw is for the Rack and Pinion Fence rails ensuring fence stays parallel to blade, micro adjustment capability, the built-in foldable stand/legs, durability, and lastly pricing. Table length 25", rip capacity is 25.5" (length) and 24" wide, blade capacity is 10" and can be installed 8" dado blade set (though I have not tried this because I don't have a dado blade yet). Though it has a dust port elbow, having a container is a little help, saw dust is inevitable so I am working on a shop-vac to minimize the spread of it. I never keep the factory blades, my go to carbide are Diablo blades. Disclaimer: I am a woodworking novice, so for me this table saw is enough for the things I do in the house.

Great investment that won't break the bank
I purchased this a couple of months ago and finally got to use it. As a DIY'er tihis purchase was a no brainer. I've never used a table saw before and read the instruction in and out. Everything was easy to use. The set-up was simple and needed minimal time to do so. The blade sat at an almost perfect 90 degrees. When repositioning the blade the locking mechanism secures the blade effortlessly. The materials used to build this tool is of quality metal. The dust collection comes with a bevel attachment to direct the saw dust as you like. The size and weight is perfect to transport without help. When not in use, the legs fold back and it easily fits on my metal shelving. I am very pleased with this table saw, if you are looking to purchase your first table saw, don't look any further. For the price, you won't go wrong.

Good price, compact storage, functional.
A handy and functional table saw that stows easily in your garage and is nicely priced. Ripping 1x or 2x boards with a circular saw is a huge pain. A bench saw requires a sturdy table you can screw or clamp to. Not to mention panel stock is too big for the fence. I upgraded to this saw and it fits the home DIY bill perfectly! Reasonable price, compact storage, and adequate functionality for most tasks. This and my 12 inch miter will probably more than serve my DIY lumber needs for the rest of my days! On the other hand, there are a lot of plastic parts. I would consider it a light to moderate duty tool, not heavy duty, and I would not use it for major construction projects unless I expected it to be short lived. It will probably not hold up to the stress for a long time and fail under an extended heavy load.

Good, inexpensive, capably powered
Good saw with plenty of power, especially when paired with a good blade. I've been able to get nice, accurate cuts and easily build a couple of things in the few short weeks I've owned this. Right out of the box everything was in true and I've not had to make any adjustments to the alignment. Additionally, I like the size and weight. I wavered between this and the Dewalt model (twice as much), but the Dewalt is appreciably bigger while this saw fits fairly well on a shelf in my garage. No issues with the sturdiness. It doesn't move or wobble when I use it but I can still lug it from one side of the garage to the other without throwing my back out. There are obviously bigger, better table saws out there, but for less than $350, this is a steal and fits the bill for 95% of the projects I'll need to do. You will probably want to upgrade the miter gauge asap to something better. The included miter gauge is just awful. The fence isn't all that much better, but isn't nearly as bad as the miter gauge.

Great Saw That Won't Break Your Bank!
Love this table saw! I was afraid the legs would be weak/shakey, but NOT SO. They are robust, well-designed, and fold/deploy easily. This saw comes assembled in the box (except for safety accessories and fence) and ready to go, although they suggest verifying - which I did - various parameters such as 0-degree and 45-degree stops (I adjusted the 45-degree only slightly). All accessories have a place on the folded saw, so you don't have to find a place to hide them in the workshop. The blade that comes with the saw is a 24-tooth, but despite that fact, it performed very smooth cuts in some drawer pieces I was sawing. I didn't take the time to hook up my vacuum to the saw, but used the 45-degree pipe extension that was included to direct dust/chips to a 5-gallon bucket, which caught about 70%. The vacuum would likely have caught 95% due to the enclosed design of the saw exhaust. I'm not big on safety guards (sorry) because they're usually restrictive and cumbersome. Not so with the Smart Guard System on this saw. Very easy to use; easy to set up; functions perfectly; does not impinge on feed. You can set up or take down this saw in 2 minutes or less. Oh, and the fence control is smooth and accurate! SOOOO easy to change and verify measurement for subsequent cuts. It's heavier than the saw I replaced, but the carry handle is convenient, and allows short distance carry even with all the accessories stowed. Haven't used the miter yet, but if it's slightly loose (as many are), that can be remedied if necessary with aluminum tape. Some folks complained of the noise of this saw, but I found it was no more noisy than my old model, and in fact probably quieter. (I've always used ear plugs AND muffs.) In short, you could spend more on a table saw, but I seriously doubt you would be any happier than with this one.

Amazing saw except the miter gauge.
After a lot of research, I found that this was the best saw for me in my price range that would allow growth with additional capability. I had been warned in some of that research that the miter gauge is a weak point. That turned out to be true. It is only 12" long and has a very small surface. Cross cutting a 3/4" 30"x12" board turned out to be more than I was comfortable with the included miter gauge as it was hard to handle. So I am replacing that with a better one before completing that project. (currently waiting for it). When cross cutting small trim pieces, that was far more tolerable. The fence, adjust ability, ... all worked extremely well. I went through the setup and checked all alignments. It came from the factory perfectly aligned everywhere. Rip cuts that fit on this are a joy compared to my having tried to use a circular saw and straight edge before getting this. From the photos, you might think stability would be an issue. Stability isn't an issue at all. That was proven out when I found I was comfortable ripping 23/32" 4x8 sheets of plywood on this by myself. It is a massive step up from the circular saw I had been trying to use. Saved me from having to buy a track saw. A track saw would still be required if your rip is over the approximately 25" max rip capacity. With a vacuum attached, sawdust is not an issue at all with only a tiny amount of saw dust left on the surface after a day of cutting. Instructions are great. I needed an education since it has been 45 years since my wood shop classes and working with my Dad on his table saw. One concern is if you read the instructions, they state that the kerf of the blade that you use must be .1" or greater to be compatible with the riving knife and prevent kickback. However, most of the blades I found were under that. I ended up going with one that was .098" and that has been cutting like a dream without issue. If you order this saw, I would recommend you order a better miter gauge if you don't have one. Otherwise you will have downtime while you wait for the better miter gauge. At the time of writing this, I have not used the advanced features like bevels, miters, dado, or rabbits. In short, I would buy this again. Just know you will need to additionally have: - better saw blades - dust collection - better miter gauge

The juice is worth the squeeze!
This saw is the epitome of the phrase: "The squeeze is worth the juice!". Assembly is very straight forward. The 15amp motor is powerful. I'm 5'7 and find the height very comfortable and it fits in my smaller shop and is easy to use outside for projects. The legs need to be fully extended and nudged to ensure it is standing just right to ensure it is flat and stable. One leg is adjustable and I have not had any stability issues. Dust collection from the 2.5" port is great with a wet/dry vac and completely usable to direct dust into a 5 gal bucket if you don't have a vac. I found my blade at a near perfect 90 degrees right out of the box. Just about every setting was perfect out of the box. They make adjustments on this saw extremely easy. The fence is very easy to adjust. Blades are easy to adjust. I would recommend building a saw sled vs using the provided angle guide, upgrading the saw blades when able, and upgrading the saw fence so you can use feather boards or other attachments to add to the safety of this saw. Another upgrade would be a zero clearance plate. I have used this fairly regularly since I picked it up on sale and it's been worth every penny. Bonus points for the ability to rip 4x materials and the ability to put in a dado blade.

少し残念。
天板がだれてハジの方で真っ直ぐじゃなかった。 ちょっと残念。 でも他は扱いやすくて良いとおもいます。 高い金払ったんで、楽しみながらやっていきます。

Great saw, worth every penny.
I just returned a new Ridgid 4518 because it was impossible to square and set up. It was very cheap material wise which really surprised me because I am a fan of Ridgid. Don't buy it. Save up until you can spare $200 more and buy this Skil. It is really amazing. Accurate and square right out of the box. The rack and pinion fence adjustment is so good. Truly a well engineered tool. Lots of power and finally a saw that controls the dust fairly well. I have a lot of confidence in the saw which is important when working with a tool of this nature. Highly recommend you get this tool in your shop.

No podría haber otra mejor opcion.

Perfect size
Perfect size for hobbyists. Didn't want to lug around a frame and wheels. And the saw came zeroed on all adjustments. Great saw for the price. And customer service was fantastic at getting it to me when I needed it.
