It stinks. We purchased so we could know if someone was coming down our long and private driveway, hanging it approx 100ft from our house, in front of the woods. I strategically hung it so as to avoid false alarms from any kind of movement or shadows though it still continues to have a ton of false alarms. The worst part of this is that the basic tone is so obnoxiously loud that we keep in the garage, so that it's not overly annoying in the house though we can still hear it through the garage/house door. We've tried reading the instructions and tried many many times to change the tone to no avail. Even if you can manage to get a song to play during the alarm, the default tone still sounds also which is like a really loud DING DONG, DING DONG with a little bit of music in the back ground at the same time. It's bad. It works if you can muffle the alarm sound and ignore all the false alarms, so I guess it kinda works.

Unfortunately, this alert system is a turd. So many things... But to start, 1. no on/off switch, do you have an unlimited supply of batteries?, if yes, then you are all set. 2. you cant change to any of the melodies like other reviewers have stated. Seriously, it may take an act of congress before you could change it. I dont know if a democrat or republican made this device so you may have to wait to see who is in the majority in the house. Regardless, i dont care how many times you read the obscure manual, you are guaranteed to becomes friends with a beet. 3. I will say, it has decent range.

This item works well, but the direction are so complicated. I wanted to set it to the musical chime because it not so noisy but it always reverts back to the stupid loud ass chime. I have literally messed with it for hours, on multiplications as well as friends and my dad. We all read the direction and tried everything it said to but still the loud chime. I really wanted to send this its back for a different item.. but i i wanted to stay with the same brand but could find the model i really wanted. I have gone to there website and truely research them.. but i cannot find were to buy the model i want. So i a stuck with this defective piece of crap.

It worked just fine for a week or two and then went crazy. It would go off when there was nothing near it! Not a twig or leaf or bird. Then it decided NOT to sound when vehicles came down the driveway! We tried everything; taping part of the sensor, untaping it, moving the location, changing the angle; nothing worked.The 'instructions' that come with it are worthless, we had to contact sales and they emailed us some slightly better directions.Would I buy it again.........NO!

The sensor is very sensitive, even leaves on the trees trigger it. I recessed it back into a rock wall and it seems better. There were no instructions included. Tried changing the tone several times but after one detection, it would revert back to the default. The receiver is loud, and I even covered the speaker with tape.

We bought this for our Dad who was having problems hearing people drive up his driveway. This has solved his problem and he really likes this detector. It can be a little sensitive to birds, but all in all, was worth buying.

I recieved this product fairly quick. One thing I didn't like was the instructions did not come with the product, If you look on here through the pictures you can find the instruction. Trust me you will need them for it to work right. Other then that it works great and would deffinalty recommend.
