What does it mean when the outdoor temperature starts to flash on the indoor display?

Mine just started doing exact same thing 10/17/22 should not be low battery as there is a icon located just under the Sensor # for that.

The black and off-white display is always on. The color display is enabled by touching the button on top of the display and it goes off automatically after 9-10 seconds
