This is a great battery! The difference is quite big from the OG one, it definitely fits in there and it will not break if you the put some pressure on the cable to plug it

Ok, I had the same issue where it wouldnt fit with the WUP-010. But I realized the pin connectors are tight. Take something small, like a pick or a thumb tack and seperate the 4 connectors a bit. After that, it connected like butter and is functioning fine.

It does not fit. Now that I sort reviews by "Most recent" it seems like there is a batch of incorrectly assembled batteries being sold by this seller. Hopefully they can correct this because before the end of 2025 it seems like most customers were satisfied. I bought mine on 1/1/26 and received one that clearly has the wrong connector on it. The 2 most recent reviews right now (1/11/26) describe the same issue. Quite a frustrating problem that the seller should resolve. DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THIS CONNECTOR INTO YOUR WII U! It should click in just as easily as the original did. Its a shame to because the battery itself is huge compared to the original and it looks like it lasts forever when it comes with the right connector. The shape of the battery is not the problem. Even though it is much bigger than the original, it will still fit great in the console. The connector will not fit into the console though.

Super easy to install and double the battery life

The connector is not compatible with the WUP-010 at least. It won't fit. If you are going to advertise this as compatible, you should make sure it actually fits. This does not work with the Wii U. Update: I managed to get the connector to fit but it's missing the plastic molded guide rails on the back which means it sits too low if you don't hold it up a bit while you are inserting it and won't go in at that position. The battery itself works great, it lasts a long time. Because the connector is not intuitive, I can't give this 5 stars.

I've had this for about a week so far, so I can't say whether or not this battery stand the test of time, but so far it's been great. The battery in my gamepad was completely dead, and now it works perfectly. I haven't drained the battery yet, but after playing for about 3 hours, the console shows it at 3/4ths battery. It takes a while to charge, but that's to be expected. It does take a little force to connect the battery, but I don't think it was nearly as hard as the other reviews make it seem. Just use something flat to press it in.

So I had the official Nintendo extended battery in my Wii U pad since around when Xenoblade Chronicles came out. That would last like 7 hours playing that game back then. Fast forward to recently and the gamepad would last a little over an hour playing simple things like DS virtual console games before dying. To be fair it’s been on the charging dock 24/7 for a decade plus so it was a matter of time before the battery degraded. I was looking for a solution since an hour is outrageous. I saw this and read the reviews. I figured I couldn’t do worse right? Sucks not having the official battery but mine is basically dead anyway so why not? Wow am I impressed. It tells you to use it until it dies but mine already came depleted. I charged it up all the way and the next day I tested it out. I played the same game I’ve been playing with the old battery. I played almost 5 hours and when I check battery life, it still read a full 4 bars! I’m aware it’s only been a few days or so but that’s mighty impressive. I have never seen it go below 4 bars ever. This solved my issue immediately. I can’t believe how well it performs. Yes the plug is hard to insert but just put a little force. You’ll be fine. It did not create a bulge in the back on mine as I’ve read as well. If you’re used to the regular battery it will make the gamepad heavier, but I like my controllers with a little heft. Super recommend. Don’t deal with a dead or dying battery. Get that swapped out for this asap. Couldn’t be easier.

As the other reviewers, plug a bit stiff, but went in with little effort. Fits well, holding charge after several weeks.

Hola que tal gente de Amazon, antes que nada una disculpa por no incluir fotos del producto. Les comento que funciona perfectamente, enbona a la perfeccion en la ranura de la bateria y los pines se conectan sin problema quedando fijos a la consola. Al ser Pickle Power me dio más confianza que otras baterias genéricas y valio totalmente la pena. Bien empacada, incluye un desarmador sencillo para su instalación y no tarde ni 3min en hacer el cambio. Mi GamePad la detecto al instante y el cambio fue una locura, ahora la puedo usar toda la semana y aún no se descarga ! Evidentemente por el tipo de fuente para cargar se lleva unas 5 hrs pero oye, 5hrs por una semana de juego en lapsos de 3 horas no esta mal. Ya un mes de uso aprox. 100% recomendada, cualquier cosa actualizó mi reseña.

Esta increíble. La herramienta muy practica. Solo no le teman a conectarla al pad,pareciera que no embona, pero con un poco de presion hasta que haga click. Dale una nueva vida a tu wiiu

I think the best battery here. I find it takes like 7-8 hours to charge but then you also get that amount or gametime

Worked well as expected, the connector is tight but take your time and it fits perfectly. This is a significant upgrade over the original battery pack that comes with the wiiu gamepad.
