Healing the Hurt in Your Marriage Paperback – May 1, 2004

I am so thankful that a friend of ours recommended this book. I wish I would of had this book before me and my husband got married 22 years ago. It has been very helpful for us both in healing the the things that we have struggled with from our childhood and our marriage. Learning to recognize the imperfections in each of us and building up each other to help correct them has been life changing. It has brought us so much closer to each other and helped both of us let our guards down.We have already gave out 4 of them to friends and family.

This book has been SO VERY helpful and the way it is written is open, friendly and does NOT talk down to the reader. There are many great ideas as well as informative information regarding how different men and women think, talk and feel. I highly recommend this book to any married couple even if there is No Hurt in the marriage due to the information on communication and other points in a relationship. Thank You Dr Gary & Barbara as not all marriage hurt comes from infidelity!

Very insightful. A depth of perspective, yet practical. I purchased a second one, hoping my wife and I can go through it together. I highly recommend it as a tool for healing and growth.

While I do think this book is relevant for some, it is, at times, very specific or very vague. Thus, I found it a bit hard to follow.

I am recommending this book to all the married couples I care about. If you have suffered divorce, either as a child or adult, then this book will give you the tools to resolve hurts - both unresolved and as they happen. Although he is a Christian counselor, its not too preachy yet makes the point with patient and personal examples, reminding us we're not alone - and there's help.

Good book for couples struggling in relationship but advise if couples have communication issues they need to also seek professional Christian counselor.

Good book

Very good book. It will prove beneficial no matter how long you have been married or how things are going in your marriage. Buy more than one, you will want to give it out to others.

Great book and is very applicable to real life situations. Would recommend to anyone faced with marriage problems.
