Great little percussive instrument for the price. I have played piano for years but never any percussive instrument. My friend got one of these and I just knew I had to treat myself to it. It feels like it's good quality and it sounds really good especially in the lower notes. A/B/upper C are a little weak and ring with other tones underneath but are still on pitch enough to satisfy me. This would be a great instrument for anyone to play around with even if they are not musically inclined. I made a short piano track to play to for this video review. It is a pretty color and fun to play and I love that I can take it anywhere, unlike the piano. Very calming for me as well. I do wish the stickers came with the note names as I do better with notes, being a musician. I will likely just find some stickers and mark them myself.

I ordered this drum for white elephant gift exchange at work and it was a hit! Everyone kept stealing it from each other. It was great. The drum makes a pleasant sound, is very serene. It's a great gift for all ages. I'm tempted to get one for myself.

I purchased this instead of the pricier version advertised elsewhere, since it was for a young child, and I am quite pleased. This is the perfect size for a child. It is a nice looking, well made piece--no damage from being sat upon by a four year old. My 2 year old grandson dearly loved it, and the tones sound fabulous. The carrying case is a nice plus, as well. I am guessing the mallets will not last long since I had to find them numerous times before he left our house, but they should be able to be replaced easily.

As expected. Great quality, value, and has a beautiful sound! Easy for my kids to use and enjoy and the purple is lovely.

Such beautiful sound! My 2 year old loves music and loves making music. Once she got her hands on the sticks, she was mesmerized! It’s not an annoying sound like drumming on the dishwasher or the table or the dog! It’s really peaceful (for a bit🙄) and sounds nice. It’s a lot smaller than I thought, but it’s actually perfect for her size! I definitely recommend, especially for children who love making music!!

This is not a large pill to swallow or an enema but it comes with these little car axles that only have a tire on one side and if you hit them with it, it makes awesome sounds even if the rest of the little car is missing…

Our son loves most musical instruments. He has expressed he would like to have a full drum set to jam and rock out to, however, him being 6 we decided to wait and find something more soothing for him to play until he's a little older. We have a small home and we aren't ready for a full drum set, rock out session so we decided to substitute his desires with this drum. He absolutely loves it!! It is so calming and relaxing to hear. He loves the "beautiful sounds" it creates and I'm just so pleased he enjoys it. It comes with 2 mallets, finger mallets and a song book that is for kids to follow. My son prefers to create his own melodies and they sound amazing. We couldn't be more thrilled. Great gift for a kid!

I love my Steel Tongue Drum! It's exactly what I was anticipating! It's fun to play! I made up my own tunes the afternoon I received this delight!

I had no previous knowledge of this type on instrument. My kids and I decided to buy it. We all love it. Ages 9, 12, and me (late 30s). So it's not for only toddlers. It's a fun instrument. We found websites that taught us how to play songs like Mary Had a Little Lamb since we didn't know most of the songs in the songbook it came with. But that's okay because it's fun to just experiment with. If you hit the tongue in the middle you get a clear tone and there is no way for it to be "out of tune" as some reviewers said. This would make a great gift for anyone who loves music. The quality is beautiful - it is really nice to look at - and the sound is relaxing.

Nice sounds

This little tongue drum is so beautiful and the sound you get from it is very relaxing and soothing. I ordered the malachite colour and it is gorgeous. Slowly learning some new songs, but even just playing to your own rhythm is fun.

I bought it for my grandson for Xmas , I m looking forward to playing together the songs in the booklet like twinkle twinkle little star . It sounds heavenly! Brings out the little kid in me. I’m sure we will have fun time on Xmas day.

This little drum is fantastic. The sound is beautiful and you can play quite a bit of songs on it. It’s perfect for little hands are adults. It’s easy to pack with you in your travel bag. It is made of a metal that doesn’t break or cave it when the drum is accidentally dropped. It is made beautifully. It does come with drum sticks which help you achieve the beautiful. I find the numbers on the keys are not bright or large enough and the number stickers fall off over time. This is the second one I have purchased. The first time was for myself and this one for my grandchild.
