eGear Spotlight Rechargable LED Vehicle Light, Purple Aluminum Body

Spotlight branded versions are really worth paying a few more bucks. The quality of the finish and function really shows. I've tried the cheap versions of this light over and over and it's just not worth it. The finish on the cheaper ones are crude, the switches scrape against their surfaces instead of gliding and the charge doesn't last nearly as long as the Spotlight brand.Breakdown of my ratings:*1 star – Don’t waste your money. It should have just been lost in transit. It's not worth the hassle of opening the package it came in.**2 stars – Not much better than *1 star. Waste of time and money.***3 stars – Useful but not quite as expected. This generally means it’s just okay and it will serve a purpose to a degree but it’s lacks something. May or may not be worth returning.****4 stars – Very good. As described in the listing. Met all of my expectations. Has all the features promised at a great price(the full product price) and it will get put to use as planned.*****5 stars – Exceeds expectations!!! Will definitely buy again at full price. Well worth it.

I received this in a sealed blister pack. When i opened it, the adapter was broken (no pieces were to be found). I did try to use it regardless, but it was too small for my cars 12VDC opening. With the adapter it fit well, as long as I did not remove it. The throw on the light was less than I expected, add the broken piece, I chose to return it. The seller was quite responsive, and while at one point I did consider just asking for a replacement adapter. I felt it was better just to return it. Sadly, the shipping back to the seller made this almost a complete loss. Next time I will look for FBA, at least there I would not lose.

Very tight in the lighter socket. When I took it out the spotlight fell apart. I reassembled the pieces but have yet to get it working again

the charging adapter broke right away - I tried to glue it on, but it brakes every time I try remove it. I have a toyota 4 runner - maybe it doesn't fit well with the ports in this truck?I'm giving up on this one, and buying the $20 what doesn't have a separate removable piece necessary for charging

soo dim, so very dim, barely usable in a pinch. Had to keep looking into the light to see if it was on or off.

It sits quite happily in the cigarette lighter and is ready for use at all times. It is invaluable especially when all the street lights have gone out and if you happen to be out in the country and you get a flat!

This item does not fit a standard british 12v car socket either with or without the adapter.To get it to charge you would physically need to hold it in place. The lens also pulled offthe body on removal. - I bought this on the strength of the 5-star reviews above. Don't gettaken for a sucker, this is probably some far eastern tat you can do without. If I couldrate a 0star i would, I'm not happy at all
