Can thoroughly recommend this for its unique approach to representing maps of the world with well written text and graphic design.It appears that the first print UK edition (978-1846149719) is no longer available and Amazon are now offering the US edition (‎978-0393651515). The US edition has the red background behind the title text on the cover. The US edition is also listed as having 8 more pages than the UK edition (224 compared to 216). Not sure if they added extra content for the US market or the extra pages are just how the book is put together for the US with additional publishing notes in the front and back matter, but according to the official website of the book “the US & UK editions are identical except for their covers and publishers”. Both use British spellings and metric units”.
