Everyone should have one of these.So, one day I was feeling a little low, I found a talking parrot in Lidl, or maybe he found me, I dunno, but we quickly became friends. Officially I bought him "For My Children", as I'm 41 and certainly didn't buy a talking parrot mostly for myself. 👀A few weeks later it was time to buy a thank you present for the Headteacher, who is also sort of my friend. I thought she rather needed a talking parrot too, so I bought him (and opened the box to put in batteries and make sure he worked etc - and see if he got on with my parrot.) (Sorry, I mean My Kids' Parrot. Of course.) Well, they had a lovely time, flapping and nodding and copying each other, they seemed to sort of wait for each other in turn, is that A Thing?When we gave them to the Head, who is not far off as mad as me, she loved him/her very much, showed it off to the kids and teachers and governors, and I think s/he'll make an excellent school mascot and friend. Everyone should have a parrot like this. Everyone.They are also great for Call and Response songs, and learning a language on Duo Lingo. I do not think anyone but the most fun-avoidant dead-inside soul would not appreciate this Parrot.

We bought this to entertain the children in a family, ages 7-11. It was such a success, we had to tell the adults to keep their hands off until the children went to bed! They tried to send them to bed early, but we glared at them fiercely and they backed off.Later, the adults got as much of a laugh out of it as the children had. Fortunately, I was the last one up that night, and thought to play the current recording, knowing that the children would be going straight for it in the morning. That last recording (by the adults) was not child-rated!!So here's your warning: When it gets put down for the night where there are children in the house, check its latest message so you can be sure it will start the next day with a child-suitable message.Also, be sure to have 3 fresh triple-A batteries on hand when it arrives so that you don't have to wait to use it.P.S. When you're checking that final message, the one that the children could hear first in the morning, there's nothing wrong with you recording, 'You have made your bed, right?' or 'Have you brushed your teeth?' :-)

This is a fun little toy and it does exactly what it is meant to do, it repeats sounds and voices in a cute way.It is well sized, nicely made, and kids find it funny straight away. The voice repeating works reliably and, surprisingly, it is quite quiet compared to similar toys. It does not scream or make harsh noises, which makes it much more tolerable to have around the house.It is still a novelty toy, so it is best enjoyed in short play sessions, but it does not become annoying quickly because the volume is fairly low.Overall, it is a good little gift and a lot more pleasant than expected. Ideal if you want something fun without it being overly noisy.

Bought this as a Xmas gift for my wife and it had her in hysterics. My Mum too. Its very cute and loveable even without the talking and flapping.

Don't buy them i bought it for my grandchildren it didn't work
