Q: How many pounds will these props support?

Q: It's the first time for me to replace such struts on my leer cap, are they easy or difficult?

They were very easy for me to replace, and feel that anyone can do it without difficulty. Have someone hold the window up, or support it with a board. Use a screwdriver to remove the old strut, by prying the retainer spring up and pull out on the strut. Do the same for the opposite end. Wipe away any dirt or grease, and install the new strut by pushing it onto the stud.
