Would buy again!
I clean cabins daily and this has been a life saver for helping the waters stay clean. And keeping all the oil or iron off the walls of the hot tubs. Depending on if you have city water or well water it depends on how much you need to change them. But as of now Iโm not changing them but every 3 to 4 months.

Works Well But Doesn't Last Long
I purchased two and dropped the first one into the tub after a complete empty, clean and refill. This worked like a charm for the first 10 days....water crystal clear, no foam, etc. After about 10 days the scum absorber was floating below the surface and I noticed little flecks of the material floating freely in the water. By the time it was in the tub for 2 weeks, it was shot. Does it work? A resounding yes...short term. For the price, I would like to see it last at least a month, though.

Finally, something that works!
A little pricey but really the only thing Iโve tried that actually work and takes no maintenance. Bought a 2 pack about 6 months ago. My hot tub is used daily and using 2 in a 620 gallon salt water system helps keep scum off the inside perimeter between water changes. Once it stops floating itโs time for a new set. These things are small but absorb a lot. They attract and collect all the bad stuff. DONโT WASH OR WRING THEM OUT. Youโll destroy the outer layers. Drop them in and forget about it, simple!

works for hot tubs.
i KNOW for a fact this thing works. Here's why. the DAY i don't have it in, i'm wiping my Hot tub down cause of a scum line. PERIOD. END OF STORY. every time i take this thing out, it's gross in there. plus, every couple of weeks i wash this thing out and it's ugly. ALSO, don't make the same mistake i did and accidentally "CUT" the netting when opening up the plastic. cause, if the netting is cut, little bits of foam will get out and mess up your filter. i figured that out the hard way. but, you will know if if you do it. this is a cheap and effective soluion. happy to have it.

Great product - Plastic loop broken - Poor design plastic loop
The good: They work! The Bad - Since my first review the packaging has changed. Improvement! The second pair I ordered both had broken plastic loops. The two tabs on the plastic loop that secure the net are snapped off. This no doubt occurred during assembly. I fixed it my way, but why did I have to? Knocked off two stars for a five star product.

Do not work
These do not work or make a difference. Do not waste your money! Not sure why the high ratings. Better off trying another product.

Works Well
These scum absorbers eliminated the film introduced by an apparently bad batch of alkalinity increaser. I could only use one since the plastic clip holding the mesh bag closed was broken on one unit. I figured I'd use the bag on the good unit until it got so dirty it wouldn't clean up. I would then transfer the absorbent media from the defective mesh bag to the good (old) one. I didn't have to implement my plan since after a week (and two media cleanings) the pool was crystal clear.
