Little difficult to install, but works great!
So I admit I was skeptical about these at first, but after getting five pairs of knee pad insert compatible Carhartts via a uniform allowance at my employer, I decided to give these a try and so I got one pair of the medium size. After a couple months of working with these, honestly I think they’re great, especially when you’re not in the mood (or lazy) to get out your 1’x2’ kneepad to get some plumbing/waterworks stuff done. So far they’ve held up fine and fit nice and snug. The one drawback i’ll say besides the somewhat higher than expected price tag is that they can be tough to install WHILE you’re wearing your work pants/jeans. Honestly you’re better off just inserting them when your pants/jeans are OFF. And while the first attempt at folding them to insert them may be a little frustrating, after a number of times doing it they seem to wear in so it’s not that big of a deal. I would give this product 4.5/5 stars!

Best knee pads I have found in 33 years, but...
I am a concrete contractor of 33 years and these are by far the best knee pads I have found. They are light, thin yet provide surprising protection from hazards. For example, you feel a 3/4" piece of gravel when you plop down on your knees but it doesn't really hurt. Anything smaller and you hardly notice- which is surprising given their thinness. Because they are internal not strapped on, they are there when you need them all day every day. Unlike other knee pads, you do not need to remove them before laundering. Unfortunately, that means you need one set for each set of pants - which means a knee pad investment. Also, the pads tend to turn in the pockets during the wash. Not every time but often enough that we have developed a wooden spoon method (Carhart knee pocket openings are small and won't admit even my wife's small hand) to flip them back into position. This can take a few minutes per knee Someone with the right sewing machine could tack the pocket smaller once the pads were installed. We wash in a regular machine and these pants are always line dried as that is my preference. The moving pads tempted me to remove one star but the overall ease as well as the fact that they are always over your knees coupled with the great level of protection made me go 5 stars as I want anyone who is up and down all day on rough terrain have a reason to consider investing in these.

Small modification makes them perfect
I have arthritis in my knees, but these pads allow me to kneel comfortably. By far the most comfortable solution I have found. As others have said, they did shift and fall out when I first got them (which is why I am rating 4 not 5). I put a couple of stitches at the bottom of the pocket to keep them in and a couple on the side to keep them from shifting. With that modification, they have worked perfectly for over a year.

Worth the Money — Durable and Reliable Knee Protection
I first tried buying simple foam knee pads, but they lost their shape after just one day of use. These ones are firmer, but they keep their shape and continue protecting my knees just as well as on the first day. Before buying, I read some negative reviews and was worried they might be too stiff — but it’s unrealistic to expect a thin pad to protect you like a full-sized knee pad with a solid base. For me, the most important thing is that they don’t lose their protective qualities over time.

Not worth the price!
These are no to difficult to put in, I was disappointed that they are so thin?

good stuff would buy again for other pair of pants
33x 30 and i hit medium. fits really well. lightweight and comfortable. no trouble putting it in and staying in. they feel much thinner when i first got them but i could feel the difference if i was to knee on concrete. if you’re looking something much more cushioning then get traditional strap on knee pads but for everyday and just to forget about knee pads i would try these

Reliable and Worth It
Not much to say. Still wear them to this day. Haven't broken down yet, so I recommend them.

Pros: -they are Breathable in the summee which is a big help Cons: -they get wet and pass the water to your knees -too narrow, I wore them in carhartt holter jeans and washed duck both relaxed fit still they did not cover my knees as other inserts do -over prices two to three times

I was very hesitant to buy these considering the price point (45-55 CAD), but Carhartt clearly spent a lot of time and money into developing these knee pads. I've been using these on slab construction for a couple months now, regularly having to be on my knees to work on the ground, and so they see a lot of use each day. It's easy to install, but does take a little more effort to remove. I don't plan on keeping them in the pants for the wash, even though Carhartt states they are wash-friendly, I'd rather not reduce the life for such an expensive pair of pad inserts. While it is comfortable, it takes a second or two before the material to "soften up" and form to your knees on the ground. So don't think you can drop to your knees and not feel pain - because the pad material seems to act like corn starch in water where it stays "hard" when it's impacted, but then becomes soft to form to your knees. I think the product could benefit from a slightly thicker padding. Not sure if it would fit in the inserts so easily if they did that, though. Another big positive is they do not shift or fall out of the pant pocket whatsoever as I've experienced with other cheaper pant/pad combos. With my old dickies pants and $10 inserts the corner of the pad would fall out of the bottom insert sleeve every day without fail.

Got these Large sized acid green knee pads for my carhartt 30X32 bib style cover all. They fit in the pants great and folded nice and flat. They are a bit on the thin side bit that makes them more maneuverable and lighter so might wear full knee pads for extended times. Overall very happy with fit and finish and quality. Made in China.

These aren't quite as cushy as regular knee pads, but they feel almost as good. Plus you can just put them in and forget they're there until you kneel down and don't hurt. They aren't very bulky to walk with, but you notice them a bit when you're sitting down - mainly driving (not enough to be bothersome though). My only complaint is that they sometimes slide side to side in the pants so they aren't positioned right when you kneel down occasionally. For a guy with bad knees - these are DEFINITELY the way to go! Especially sheeting a roof in the rain - ordinary knee pads under rain gear just don't work. These are perfect

Would stick to regular knee pads if you’re doing anything on concrete or rough surfaces. The fall and move a lot so you have to adjust them before kneeling.
