Sankarea: Undying Love, No. 1

I gave this rating because lets face it how many books have you read that speak of a girl dying coming back to life as a zombie and managing to fall in love? I don't know about you guys, but I'm sensing little Rea has a crush! Can't get much more original then that... I can somewhat picture where this is going and I'm extremely interested to see how this graphic novel plays out!!!I love the originality of this graphic novel and I love the artistry within the novel its beautiful and well detailed. I speak as an artist myself when I say this is one of the best started stories and one of the best drawn out stories I've ever seen. It's easy and simple, but is also complex and complicated. My only dislike is that my 2 nieces want to read it, but because their so young I won't let them without their parents permission due to the nudity. Oh well can't have it all right? They'll just have to wait till their old enough....I would recommend this product to anyone over the age of 15 who likes to read odd, but interesting novels that may have a tendency to blow your mind.

Nice series different from other romance mangas.

I’ll keep this short and simple hopefully. So got a bunch of mangas. I was so excited to open them but upon opening this package, here with this one I noticed the cover of the bottom left corner had a tear I was highly upset. I ended up getting a replacement book and turns out this book had a tear in it at the top left corner also. I mean at this point I won’t even attempt to get another one. I’ll just keep what I got, but you know as I stated in another review I just expect theses books to come new. I’m a collector I plan on keeping these. But other than that still a great read :)

At first I didn't think I would really enjoy this series so I bought the first and second volumes to give it a fair shot. I ended up really enjoying it! I love all things Zombies, so just the fact that this is about zombies I had to read it! I think it's a very cute love story and I watched an episode of the anime, like most movies and shows, they don't always follow the books. I already have a few of the other volumes in my cart, just waiting to get pay off some stuff.***Edit****I was wrong, the anime does follow the manga, so far I've only watched up to episode 4, and the anime there's an episode 0 and I was confused.

Like the story , A romance feel with a bit of dark twist on it.A zombie loving boy that turns his cat into a zombie. A girl in his school gets changed the same way but by accident and because of a promise they made he is left with taking care of her.That's all we got out of the series so far. So not to much to go on but i do see potential in this series and can't wait to buy the rest of the volumes.

The story's great as always, I've already watched the anime so everything is familiar. My issue is how the book is produced. Text gets waaay too close to the spine to read at times. I've skimmed later volumes and thankfully it's not as bad, but it's still an issue in them too. If you're willing to stretch the book to it's limits then you should be able to see all of the letters, otherwise you'll have to guesstimate them.

First volume is weird but very interesting! I like the art and the character design even though it is the usual Japanese black & white manga style. I know color is more time intensive and expensive. But once you are into the story, the lack of color does not bother you. I am hooked and I want to see how Fujiwara protects Sankarea in the further volumes. Wonderful take on the Zombie genre!

Let me start by saying whoever packaged my manga is a angel not only did it come in a box like its suppose to but they put bubble wrap in it so it came in perfect condition!! I found the plot of this manga very interesting and funny and better than what I thought it would be, I can't wait to get the next one ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ﾉ
