Great reel
So far it has been great. Was out 2 weeks ago, caught a 53 lb blue catfish. No problem at all. Casts preety far too. Paired up with 13 foot rod and 50 lb braided line. Took all 500 yards of it

Clicker smoked on first fish.
I bought this reel for a 12' surf rod mainly used for rays and small sharks. i liked the colors and thought it would handle some heavy action, with its full metal construction and 60lb drag capacity along with the claims of a smooth drag.. i spooled it with 40lb braid and set out to go fishing. within minutes it was on its first fish.. I saw the line go screaming off the reel the clicker was making noise for all of 10 or so seconds then stopped. i've caught many more fish since then on the reel. reel still works ok ish.. but no more clicker on drag spring inside broke. drag not very smooth to begin with lots of pulsating under heavy load. sure aint no Battle 2.

Too large for my needs
The 8000 series reel was too large for my needs , better for a fisherman that needs power for large fish on heavy weight surf outfits !

Excellent pour le prix. Un peu pesant mais çà va.
Très solide et très fluide. Le frein manque un peu de douceur mais fait quand même très bien le travail. Bon achat en ce qui me concerne.

Fosse un pò più leggero..!!!
é un buon mulinello per il tipo di pesca che pratico io. Pesci gatto africani ,siluri,grosse prede.Però devo fare 2 osservazioni:la prima riguarda l'archetto,quando devi recuperare la lenza dopo il lancio,è molto resistente a tornare nella posizione normale.La seconda è: il peso un pò eccessivo.
